We need Halo 3 rag doll physics.

Halo 3 had the best (and funniest) ragdoll physics ever. I loved the extreme body jossling whenever you stood back up. It never got old. We need this back, barvo plz.

Nothing wrong with H5 physics…

But the Halo 3 physics were SO GOOD.

I think they have a pretty good rag doll effect.

Ouch

Um… Well… you see…This games physics are awful… spartans arn’t a solid chunk, they fall to the ground in a ball and the arms and body parts go flalying all over the place… two had the best physics.

You literally just described Halo 2!

Ehh… at least it’s not 4… were every spartan died with a stupid animation even if they were in mid air… that was such an annoying thing when it started in reach… I saw a book that best described how someone would die from being shot.

It described it something like ’ he just feel, flat -youink- dead, no crazy spin or anything like that.’

That’s not the exact quote, but you get what I mean. It’s just to cartoonish.

No, when chief falls from a ledge dead, he freezes up with his arms out like his armour locked up. Then he hits the ground hard and dosn’t do like a freaking 360 freak out job like in halo 5 and 4…

If I get the time I’ll send you a video of it.

But in MP matches, especially on colossus my Spartan always has -Yoink!- attacks

If it’s on the gravity lift, I think I know why… lol

Try loading up the h2 campaign, get chief killed and let him fall and you’ll see what a spartan should look like when they die.

The phisyc is right.

Yeah? I fondly remember the first time I played Halo 5. The ragdoll physics actually impressed me quite a bit. Especially because in Halo 3, the ragdoll would eventually default to a select library of death poses. In Halo 5, you can find bodies in very…silly positions.

The library of death poses started with halo 1, then continued with reach, then 4, 5 got rid of them (thankfully)

3 however did not unless they died on a forge object.

I seriously doubt that anything about Halo 2’s physics was better than 5’s. Halo 2 was designed to run on the original Xbox, which was a single core machine - a 733Mhz Pentium 3. The Xbox One has 8 cores to play with, so can do far more with physics.

It can do more, but sometimes simple is better.

What I’m saying is that the spartans shouldn’t freak out like a bunch of bouncy balls tied to a string on a pipe when they get tapped by a worthog, then land on the ground and bounce up three more times doing a 360 before landing as if they were doing a bad yoga pose.

Sometimes Spartans act like brick walls, and my Ghost gets pinged across the map. I put it down to a glitch or lag or something. But it’s really annoying when I go to splatter someone and end up coming off worse.

I’ve even had my Ghost get stuck in the wall before, a few times. It’s very annoying as I’m trying to reverse whilst taking shots from the enemy, usually resulting in an unfair death.

The gravity hammer physics in h5 leave much to be desired. I miss making vehicles fly away quite a bit.
