If your going to have to deal with people running away with sprint and people using stuff like the hardlight shield to block bullets than you have to give all the weapons a buff. The br should be a 4 shot kill and all the other weapons should also be buffed to keep everything balanced. Also the shields seem to recharge faster than other halos and there is also a perk to make them recharge even faster which is another reason why we should have faster kill times.
People seemed to be dying off fairly quickly from the gameplay vids I’ve seen.
… Have you considered using a plasma pistol overcharged shot, an explosive, a melee or a teammate’s assisted firepower to decrease your kill times?
We already know snipers and rockets are quick killers because they can be OSK, but have you considered using force multipliers to achieve the same effect?

The MP games I saw nobody got to 50 kills. The timer always runs out.

This game doesn’t need “fairly” quickly. It needs HAlo 2 quickly. So desperately. All the perks and AAs and sprint just slow the game down. Can’t believe the kill times haven’t been balanced. Every gun needs to kill quicker.

All I know is Halo 2 was a 4sk which felt perfect to me and that was without even having sprint which allows people to run away and slows down gameplay. Also it’s not like I’m saying to just make the br a 4 shot. I’m also saying to buff everything else also to make it balanced.
We need a 4sk for balance purposes. Both the Carbine and DMR fire faster and are more accurate than the BR, yet they have faster kill times. Because the BR has more draw-backs than the Carbine and the DMR (Slower ROF and less accuracy with Recoil), it should kill slightly faster to counteract them. Making the BR a 4sk balances it against the other two precision rifles.
From Multiplayer gameplay I’ve seen the kill times are much faster.

Wow good one. This has nothing to do with being better. There are plenty of situations where if I shoot as fast as possible and connect with every shot that the person can still sprint away around a corner and have his shields recharge. I also don’t think you should be telling me to be better when your highest skill in halo 3 is a 40 with a .88 k/d ratio.
It sorta looked all you had to do what point the gun and it was instant death from the MLG videos. Faster Kills might be great for the elite players, but all that’s going to do is make players and casuals keep to Spartan Ops, Big Team, and Infection rather than just being fodder for stat packers.

The BR in its current state simply does not compete.
BR:
Random spread
1.8 sec killtime
2x zoom.
DMR:
Pinpoint accuracy
1.4 sec killtime
3x zoom
Conclusion:
In it’s current state there is no reason to use the BR other than nostalgia. You can miss a DMR shot and still beat a perfect BR. This needs fixing.
Having to work and strategize to kill your enemy rather than just shooting him once in the balls is one of many things I think sets Halo apart from any old fps.

Well the funny thing is that the BR kill time in H4 from the E3 gameplay is actually slower than the Halo 3 BR.

- I played with friends a lot who were bad. 2. That’s in LW, the hardest one to rank up in. 3. I think you meant Halo 3*. 4. So you don’t kill people EVERY time. Deal with it.

On paper your absolutely right, but we didnt see much DMR vs BR because they were all using the BR. I want to see more of it first before I start campaigning for a 4sk BR again, cuz BR v BR they were killing pretty quick as a 5sk. As of right now I’m leaning towards a 4sk though.

Not to me. The battles were drawn out and dull. Have you watched pros play Halo CE and Halo 2? Now try to tell me that H4 looked fast.
