We Need Double XP Weekend Back!

In past Halo games, every weekend the amount of XP earned would be doubled, allowing people to rank up faster. Even though you get more XP after matches, I still think that Double XP weekend would be a really good way to help players level up faster. Not only that, but Double XP weekend could encourage people to play Halo more often since they can earn more XP.

Or, we could have it alternate between a Double XP Weekend and a Double REQ points Weekend. This can give players a goal for what they want to grind for, plus it can allow them to get REQ packs faster and (potentially) unlock customization items quicker.

What do you guys think about bringing Double XP Weekend back into Halo 5? Or having an addition of the Double REQ points weekend?

Both would be nice. It would definitely make going through the Gold Packs and reaching SR 152 much easier.

I agree with this halfheartedly. I would love to see it in the future but I know that they don’t do it so much given that XP boosts can come from REQ packs.

I’d take a Double XP Weekend type event, but I’d be much happier if they just brought back Daily/Weekly/Monthly challenges.

People would definitely be playing warzone all day. The gametype already gives out large amounts of RP and a fair amount of XP, so I’d be grinding out at least 20 gold packs by the end of the weekend. I like this idea!

It is a nice idea. I would like to reach level 148 faster. Then 150-152.

This would be unfair to all of us at 151 and 152 that didn’t get any double weekends to help us. Grind it.

I would be okay with a Double XP weekend. It would be better if we got a double RP weekend instead, in order to be fair to those who did make the grind to the max level. It would help to grind out those Silver REQ packs a little quicker (anything to get those darn emblems and certifications out of the way quicker), even if it was just one weekend, maybe for the one year anniversary of the game?

I would agree on that only if I could get on Halo and actually play a match without having issues with the rec system, profile sync error, or it boot me out of the game completely!

I didn’t know a thing existed in Halo 5. I’d definitely play more if there was a weekend of double xp & req.

True, but what if they extend the rank cap before adding a double XP feature to the game? And maybe the incentive would be getting new armor that is only available after a certain SR rank?
It’s doubtful that either thing will happen, but it’d be nice, even if I do reach SR152 before that.

I would prefer double rp weekends. Ranks now are just indicative of how much time you put into the game.
