Solo you can play offline.
Ask yourself why would you need It to play campaign offline and solo? Only co-op campaign requires internet. It doesn’t take a devs response on matters that require common sense

We have had confirmation for a long time. YOU CAN PLAY Halo 5: Guardians solo campaign offline
Solo yes, co-op no. All aspects of multiplayer, including co-op, use dedicated servers.
I am a little bummed that split screen w/ reduced textures was dropped.

It wasn’t dropped for higher textures I honestly wish you guys would understand that frame rate is not linked to graphics. They dropped it so they could get a smooth 60fps locked game which they did.

I have Xbox Live Gold AND a consistent internet connection. It’s the principle of the thing. I refuse to spend money on anything that requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription for all features. That’s why Destiny and Titanfall are both failures to me. Yes, I know you can play LAN on Titanfall and Destiny allows access for some features with a silver account, but I don’t have anyone to play LAN with, and the requirement of an internet connection for all features in Destiny is terrible.

Well good news for you, halo isn’t destiny or titanfall and can be played offline. Campaign solo can be played offline and I’m still positive that forge will be playable offline and solo

that is not the reason why destiny was terrible… story had a lot to do with it and repetitive missions were what killed it for me. the always online actually was kinda cool. it was a great concept that i don’t think would work for consoles. but i agree, if i’m paying for a game it should work whether online or off. good job op. way to stick to your guns.
You can play offline solo. For co-op,you will need xbox live.

So then why are you buying Halo? ALL FEATURE means all. There is no local MP, like at all. Forge may end up local. But I’m skeptical at this point with the dependency on cloud computing.
Your statement baffles me. You pay for Xbox live but refuse to pay for games that utilize it?

Nope, digital is locked. You can just start your download early.

No, you completely misunderstood me. I don’t care about local multiplayer or Forge, my concern is solo campaign. It needs to be playable offline for me to buy it. I pay for Xbox Live Gold to play games that have both offline and online functionality. Like Master Chief Collection, Halo: Reach, CoD: Black Ops II, etc… . If they lack online functionality, so be it, but no offline functionality is unacceptable.
