No, I absolutely don’t want COD halo, but, I think classic Halo 2 like multiplayer is what we need, just with aiming down sights. Also, no custom loadouts, this isn’t COD. What do you guys think?
Why do we need canon breaking ADS?

wait, can you explain a little more?

Spartans have the reticule build inside their helmet.
It would make no sense for them to aim down sights.

The HUD for Spartans-Marine is actually Canon, they are always ADS but their suits do the aiming. Besides ADS lowers the skill gap by far too much and it is just an unoriginal feature that adds literally nothing.
I see your point, but I’m not really a fan of hip fire. Good point though
I’m curious, why?
I, and many most people around here, seem to believe that all ADS would do is slowdown game play. They force you to either slow down or stop entirely in order to shoot accurately, making you extremely exposed and unable to defend yourself. Halo gunplay has always (well, not in Reach) been about out being able to out maneuver your opponent.
ADS work in a game like Battlefield because the kill times are so slow. In that game you can run in, aim for like 1/10th of a second, pull the trigger, and you are done. It is nothing like this in Halo. Gun battles(?) last 10-20 times longer in Halo. Battles would be reduced to two players standing there shooting at each other, and in most cases the person that gets the first shot off would win. Being able to move allows this to not happen as a player that can move well can punish players that have bad aim.
The guns in Halo, with a few exceptions, just wouldn’t look good. All of their designs are made to look good with the HUD system that is in place. How would guns such as the AR,Plasma Rifle, Storm Rifle, and Carbine work wit ADS? None of there have any obvious “iron sights” build in and would have to either get a redesign or would look awful with ADS.
I really don’t think that is a good idea.
Personally i dont want to see ADS because that kind of takes away the Halo feel.
Halo has always been a “hip-fire” game and it has worked fine since its inception.
Besides, with the HUD always on your screen, and the accuracy being better than that of COD, i see no reason to have the ADS.
“I want a classic Arena shooter with ADS”
Classic Arena shooters don’t have ADS.

OP, if you can’t understand why ADS would decimate Halo, you shouldn’t be playing it.
I’m sorry, but I can’t think of a single worse mechanic for breaking Halo than ADS.
Anybody who wants ADS does not understand how Halo is played and should honestly move on to something different.
I’ve never been so disturbed by a request before.
Halo is known best to stand out because of 3 things:
Running, jumping, shooting.
All happening seemlessly.
ADS breaks that. Not only would it make things tedious to shoot, assuming we are directly taking it from modern shooters, ADS would slow us down. This something we can’t afford to do in a shootout against weapons that travel at the speed of light(or faster).
Not only would Halo lose its look, and break canon, it would have a negative impact on how the game plays out.
I’m opposed of this suggestion.

Oh the contradiction…
Also, your only real reason for having ADS is because you’re “not really a fan of hip fire”??? =s

This times a million.
I’m so glad Halo never had that ADS garbage and I’d be incredibly disappointed if 343 bent to peer pressure and added it.
The only real reason OP has added is that he doesn’t personally like it, that’s perfectly fine OP and I’d call out anyone who said you aren’t allowed to have that preference…but.
Halo has been like this for many, many years and the only reason you have for changing such a well-known feature of the game is…because you prefer ADS. Well I’m sorry, but that just doesn’t cut it.
ADS in Halo is like adding Forza mechanics to Burnout.
Moving around while engaged in a battle that usually lasts over 2 seconds is a huge part of the Halo skill gap.
Having to choose between aim or movement goes against everything Halo stands for.
Sprint is bad enough for ruining that fluid combination, and ADS would be the nail in the coffin.
Halo is about movement. ADS would stop that. No ADS.
haha, no
One does not simply put the slow generic un-skillful ADS in a unique game!
Lack of ADS is a defining part of Halo’s multiplayer. In fact, I dislike the feature as a whole. Just a preference.

You first. Why do you think ADS would work?

Couldn’t have explained it better my self.
