Right!! Definitely need PLATFORM based for rank games even more than input but ideally both. As for social I’m not that concerned but it would be a nice touch. Just give people the power to choose right?
I’m a halo fan since the first halo. My Xbox actually came with halo 1 =). In the past year I’ve been playing warzone and stopped mainly because of PC players - Better performance and hackers.
I‘ve never been so excited to play halo since halo 3 and what does 343 do? No platform optionality!! Even MCC has this option. It has both input and platform optionality.
I just don’t understand why would 343 would support the concept of one platform having advantage over the other, even if is a slight advantage - it’s still an advantage
PC players can play at 240 and now days up 300 FPS (and way more feasible in upcoming years) and console players are cap at 120 FPS (and it will stay at 120 until a new gen). Is that fair in competitive/ranked games??
Looks like this is the new free-to-play norm and eventually we are gonna have to buy a computer - at least competitive gamers.
Looks like infinite is going to have input based options for ranked but have not heard anything about platforms
@AndSat13 , this is what I have configured for Battlefield 2042. 
But, how can I check whether this works in Halo Infinite? Is there anywhere an option to see tha platform used by the other players?
Apparently, you are stuck with crossplay at the moment.
To my knowledge I don’t think there is a way to verify this at the moment, maybe looking for the gamertag or checking a player profile manually you can guess the platform… the fact is that crossplay disabled by xbox settings THEORETICALLY should work that way, then for verification is another story

Yep. It’s crazy to see the amount of people complaining about not having those options.
If I choose controller only and console only and it takes 5 min to find a lobby well that’s my choice. Or maybe I get tired of that and I choose to also play against M&K. Or I’m playing with my PC friend who uses M&K then I would choose to play vs PC and K&M.
343 - Give the player the power to choose and stop making decision for them and trust me everybody will be happy!
