I really do like the maps in big team battle but it seems that the only large one is valhalla. The new maps arent nearly as big as the halo 3 ones, like imagine if they brought back avalanche. BTB would be the only game mode I play. Hopefully there will be a couple new maps in the next update.
I’m sure they will include new maps in the future. I just wouldn’t expect anything soon with the focus being on Halo Wars 2.
I’m not a fan of BTB in H5 - just lacks something, I find it dull, one dimensional & repetitive.
Not bigger maps, just better designed maps.
Avalanche is already remade, but I think Nokyard the map designer said it’s only for pistol starts.
Edit: I think you forgot about the H3 remake Altar and the map Dispelled is pretty big, but I agree that a lot of the maps aren’t as big. Big open maps aren’t good in H5 though with these weapon and vehicle mechanics.
Honestly, let’s try Pistol starts in BTB before we start expanding the size of maps. The BR locks down way too much of the map for everyone to have one.

Been something I’ve wanted since these maps were originally made for magnum starts. There’s just to much openness to them as is, going bigger just makes it even worse.
