We NEED an option to disable crossplay ASAP

It’s obviously been said before and im baffled theres no update on it but we absolutely need to be able to disable crossplay. Why doesn’t the option in the system settings disable it? Why are developers able to override our settings?

Aiming with M+K is much easier to do so its obviously putting Xbox users as a huge disadvantage. It’s soul crushing being steam rolled by a team of PC players and makes me not want to play at all. PLEASE give us the option to disable it

I play on PC with a controller and match up fine with other PC users. Crossplay is a GOOD thing and gives access to a larger player base helping the game live longer. It also doesn’t punish you for having your preferred system to play on.

Crossplay should be a thing in all games.

This exactly. Same thing here

I don’t know why people just make so many assumptions and blame PC for their inability to git gud

You’re kidding, right? Yeah, a game like PUBG M&K has the advantage. With Halo, on PC or Xbox as long as you’re using a controller, the controller has the advantage. Aim assist is so OP in Halo, M&K is at a disadvantage. They need to have an option by input devices, not crossplay. You play on PC with a controller and get the same OP aim assist as on console.
Just watch this…

You may THINK you’re being out gunned by a M&K player, but there’s not an icon like there is in MCC. In fact, it’s probably a controller player.

you can change the option for input devices as well if you change your search from “open” to “solo/duo” then you can choose “M&K” or Controller.

OP aim assist as on console. This is not true + 343 has data on this but feel free to keep lying.

I don’t think it really matters if they use a mouse or controller if I can identify them as a pc user and discern a clear advantage compared to the 6 previous games I played. Cross play has never been proven ever. What has been proven is that even with aim assist clicker mice are better

Even if there is an advantage - one way or the other - does it really matter?

Matchmaking will match me with players performing at a set skill level. So my games should continue to be close / competitive.

If I am Plat 5 I will be matched against other Plat 5.

Does it really matter if my opponent would have been Plat 4 if they were using a different input method.

Hell, there is a chance that they are actual a Plat 6 struggling with the wrong input method and doing themselves the disservice.

Bottom line is it doesn’t matter what input they are using. Or how many FPS they are getting. What chair they are sitting in. As long as they perform at the skill level advertised it’s all good.

Its mattered since halo3 kiddo what changed was 343

Tell me it’s not OP

best one yet, this guy lays his controller down and walks away…

“THE problem is that with mnk the accuracy of your aim when enemies are strafing and trying to dodge your shots are mostly dependent of your reaction time and predicting player movement. Everyone knows that humans are not machines and will do mistakes. Aim assist is literally a “machine” that takes the human error away and replaces it with a ingame tracking mechanism. IT IS OBVIOUSLY OVERPOWERED.”

Yeah and a pc player can get 21 kills with only 25% accuracy when I only get 6 kills with 52%. And not one was him

Preach! I don’t know how many times I see pc players snapping on to other players, or using aimbot! I just lost a match where the guy on the other team went 25 in 2! Cross play needs to be optional!

Exactly this. People who complain about crossplay seem to think that raw accuracy numbers are what make you good at this game.

Accuracy is only a small part of playing well, and some people are just naturally really accurate regardless of what input type they’re using.

Also… just saying, the pros are still using controllers.

I bet 99% of the ones who are saying PC players have the advantage so crossplay needs to go has not played Halo with M&K. As I said before, it’s not crossplay that needs to go. They need a preferred input, like in MCC. K&M players are at the disadvantage with a lobby full of controller players. If they do a crossplay option, then controller will still have an advantage on PC matched with PC users using M&K.

K&M players are not your problem. It’s the controller players who know how to abuse the aim assist in this game. I posted plenty of links that prove this. If you’re on controller and you’re missing your shots than you’re trying to aim too much. This game (controller) does not want you to aim, it wants you to just point in the directing and the game will take over. Again, I posted videos proving this. How is that enjoyable? How is that rewarding?

I get it, Halo was born on console. First true FPS that opened the doors for FPS on console. I played Halo since day one and Halo is what sold me on Xbox. I have both a Series X and PC (and controller on PC), so I’m speaking from experience. Halo is NOT enjoyable with K&M matched with controllers. So yeah, I agree it needs to be separated or an option to do so at least. The aim assist is way OP, if you don’t think so then you’re either ignorant or the minority, the “casual” gamer that can pick up Halo and be decent/good at. The audience 343i is trying to attract, the audience that ask their parents for more virtual money to buy the new skins. The “Pro” Halo player even said this himself. That they need to fix their aim assist to make it fair but they won’t, because they’ll lose their targeted player base, casuals.

Again, I get it…to a point. They made the game FTP so they have to cater to the casuals but this is more than catering, it’s more of aim takeover and not aim assist. Look at Fortnite, their aim assist with controller was also strong and just about every update, season or chapter (no idea, I don’t play it) they’re always changing how aim assist behaves. Their most recent change, nobody (controller players) likes it because it actually turns off aim assist close range.

Anyway, aim assist in Halo is too OP and that’s a fact. If you say otherwise than you’re just being ignorant. I play on both and I’m not picking sides or being bias, I’m being real. I want Halo to be enjoyable for both parties and right now, it is not enjoyable on K&M.

Yeah I’d like the option to not play with PC because of the cheaters pc has. It doesnt happen on Xbox.

All these people thinking the cheating will stop with crossplay off is laughable. As a pc player getting into consoles back when Halo 2 and 3 were a thing, I saw more cheating than ever online in ranked. All console players and people were so pathetic they still found a way to cheat. Online gaming is never without cheaters. There is always some sweaty, tiny -Yoink!- try-hard that has to cheat to win. Crossplay is good for the entire Halo online community. It’s just up to 343 to get it right.

There are a lot of hackers, transforming a beloved game as Halo into a toxic and stressful environment.

Never liked summit dude just preying on controller gamers sad sad sad

max sensitivity on a controller is laughably slow compared to a mouse. modes like tactical slayer are made so much easier with M&K because of their ability to instantly snap to a target
