We need to have a “OPTION” In Custom Games Area for Halo 5 Forge for the PC. We need to have a auto team balancing system to help teams to be fair. As it sets right now there is no way to balance teams and have a fair game. You cannot kick people in game to help balance teams. Now some people may frown on this type of system that is why it should be an option for the admin / host. Quite a few games have this system in their games. I would use it in a heart beat!
Here are just two examples:
The Unreal Tournament Franchise.
The Battlefield Franchise.
I setup my server for 25 rounds and 30 mins. per round. Why? because we do not have any map rotation system in this game. Most online games have a map rotation system and I don’t have time to babysit this game. Halo Combat Evolved had a map rotation and I am very surprised to see there is not one in Halo 5 Forge for PC. It does not make sense to me at all. Halo Combat Evolved came out in 2001. It’s hard to believe that this game does not have a dedicated server at all for last 16 years since it was released. IMHO if the basics of Halo Combat Evolved dedicated server is not iimplemented in this game I really don’t think that this version of Halo 5 Forge for the PC or if there is a Halo 6 for the PC will succeed in the PC gaming community.
Just my two cents to make a fair game for everyone.
Its a free game with no matchmaking. If you want to run a custom game be prepared to spend the 3 seconds it takes to change maps. If you want to balance, kindly ask players in chat to switch teams. Ive had none of these problems because I can do things myself.
If you have a full server and u try to switch map on that -Yoink!- Azure server it take approx. 2 to 3 mins. from end of round, selecting map, and starting new map. Thats BS!!! I refuse to babysit any online game. You give me the impression that you have never hosted a full dedicated server that has Welcome screen, kick and ban people, auto map rotation, auto kick for being Idle map voting and more. I have repeatedly ask people to change teams and most of the time they refuse to do so especially if their team is wining. Let me see you kick people “IN GAME”. You cant do it. Only in the lobby and i’ll be -Yoink!- if I am going to shut down a full server just to kick some wiener boy off the server. That would be real stupid

I think youre missing what Wylie is trying to explain, Halo 5 forge is a free game and (due to lack of support for it, srsly i went on today but there was only 8 servers with either 1 person or fulll) is not being updated to be as good as other games because it make them less money, and so since you dont pay them for the work, you have to do the work. Also, hosting games for a long time doesnt mean you can use it as a defense for why you cant just end the game to kick someone (also if the lobby people are such morons, why WOULDNT you end the game to kick them?) Microsoft doesnt really care about halo forge on pc so theres no map rotation or kicking, honestly i dont know why youre so surprised, halo 5 on xbox 1 was missing the option to mute ingame when it launched

So what if it was free or it was bought? It should not make any difference. I am not a console player and never will be. I am a PC person only! If a program is not not going to be updated then why even use the program. Now H5 has had one update already. If this is what to be expected in halo 5 forge for the PC or in Halo 6 I see no reason to support a game that does not even have the basics in the game. I have talked to other PC players about these issues in the game. Most of them feel the same way I do. Some do not and have moved on to other games. Don’t get me wrong. I like H5: for the PC but I’ll be -Yoink!- to support a game regardless if the game is free or not if it does not even have the basics in the game. That is why you dont see many people hosting this game. Why they don’t have the basics in the game is beyond me.

. #1. You need to be able to kick or ban people for racists remarks and people that create hate and discontent “IN GAME” PERIOD! #2. Halo Combat Evolved had the above and more. That is why it is hard for me to fathom that is is not in the game. #3. You don’t shut down a game just to kick 1 person WHY? People tend to get pissed off and leave when you end a game before the game is over and do not come back and or the person you what to kick leaves just after you shut down the game. That is why you need to to have the the ability to kick and ban people in the game NOT by shutting down a server just to kick one person. That is the stupidest thing I have even seen in “ANY” game! hahahaha I would NOT support such a game for the PC that was like that. I run a 32 slot Battlefield 1 server right now and I can kick, ban, people and do more in that game as the Admin of my server and I don’t have to babysit the game. If Battlefield 1 did not have that ability in the game I would not have bought the game. Yes I pay for the hosting of the game. I always have for many years of hosting online games. 343I sez it is a dedicated server when you boot the game up. It is no way in hell a dedicated server. It is deceiving. It is not a dedicated server period. It is more like a wanna be peer to peer setup.

I know it sucks and needs to be fixed or at least addressed, what I was saying was that it is not surprising Microsoft and 343 don’t bother to support halo 5 on pc, because its free. Even though you can still buy req packs on waypoint for your spartan and the reason no one is going to spend money is because halo 5 is not available in its entirety. That’s their fault, but pc players suffer for it because 343 or microsoft don’t feel like its worth it. I’m not a spokesperson, so don’t attack me for telling you why I think halo 5 on pc sucks and why it will continue to suck because xbox is “apparently” more profitable. I think the worst thing about this is that the mouse, inherently more precise than joysticks, are useless in custom games because of the lock on handicap that people using controllers get.
