Halo 4 had a problem besides all of its gamebreaking features with the fact that that outside of ordinances, you were unable to pick up any weapons because there were none. This obviously isn’t a case within halo 5, but for those that want to share power weapons with each other, they have to go through a process where one drops the weapon and picks up another one for the other teammate to grab it. With the amount of things that can happen along with how fast they happen due to letting your guard down from this process, especially in halo 5, the trade wasn’t worth it. So 343 needs to implement a feature where players can hold the action button at the same time to trade weapons for like a few milliseconds. It’s convenient, and in case you suck with a sniper, you can give it away. Also, players could give each other ammo in the case that a weapon in their hands is completely empty; so the person giving ammo would only give one clip of ammo per trade.
For sure, this would be a good idea (Y)
Probably somthing involving the D pad, as this isnt used much
This could be cool, although I think it’s a bit too tactical for me. The way I see it, you should know to only go for a power weapon and risk everything for it if you know you can use it. If you don’t know what your doing with it and just wanted it because it was shiny, then you should feel the consequences.

Even if you are not good with it, you shouldn’t be forced to not touch it because allowing it to fall into enemy hands can be consequential, and keeping it in your back pocket is a valid option. You don’t want your lack of skill for a certain power weapon give you an excuse to leave it alone since it can change the course of a game.
I don’t think this will work very well for Halo
I think a better way to do it would be to be able to drop your weapon by holding a direction on the D-Pad

Could you share your thoughts as to why it wouldn’t work well?
This would be AMAZING for infection customs. Conserving your ammunition and sharing magazines with teammates makes the survival element more immersive and strategic. Definitely for customs if not MP. Great idea, OP!
