We need a Super XP Weekend

So as it says on the title we need a Super XP Weekend (maybe once a month) because I just calculated my rank and how long it would take me to finish. I have 38,190,000 XP left before I hit 152 if I played 10 games of WZFF and got 10,000 XP per game every day, for 100,000 XP every day (unlikely) it would take me 391 days to finish. (y’all’s thought’s?)

While it is a super long grind to hit SR152, I think they should just do double XP on the weekends when probably most are playing. I also wish the XP levels were more evenly spaced. Pretty lame having the last few so largely spaced apart.

Just ignore how much XP you need to get to the next level and just play the game. The grind won’t feel as harsh if you focus on it less.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have weekday double xp then, in an attempt to drive population up when it’s low?

Yeah but making it on weekend may entice even more players to play Halo rather than another game. Most gamers are probably online in general on the weekend. Also it’s sometimes better to give the most an incentive rather than the few.

I’m not saying take away double XP weekends just give us a way to get more at one time so its less of a grind, kind of like a special event type thing or they could reintroduce the jackpot from reach for players who finish there games (no matter how painful it might be to stay in that game😭) Edit: Maybe once a month is to often so maybe just on big holidays like Christmas?

They kinda already do offer than with the XP boost/jackpot req cards you can play at the beginning of the matches.

Yes but in my experience they usually only give 10,000 xp during the week and 15,000 xp on double xp weekends and that’s only in WZ or WZFF and you have to win (hence the 391 days for me to finish as stated above)

Ultra rare and legendary will give you more. The most I recall getting in on match was like 33k in XP with a legendary AI kills boost. Granted those are pretty rare to have. But if they offered double XP more weekends and maybe throw in a few days during the week, it would be fine. To me games need long term goal type stuff.

You’ve gotten this far without much handholding from 343. I don’t think they need to spoon-feed us with occasions of huge XP dumps just so we can get to 152 faster simply because the grind is too tough for some.

A semi-monthly (twice a month) basis for Double XP weekends sounds perfect in my opinion.

I agree if people could get more of the XP AI boosters for WZFF or any gold cards at all I wouldn’t have posted this, but since the game came out I’ve gotten about 15 gold boosters and only 2 of them were for XP and I’ve never gotten a purple XP booster. Also the game has almost been out for three years (I think?) and I’ve played alot of halo 5 with an estimated 391 days before I finish, so I like long goals to but I would like to finish before Halo 6 comes.

Well considering H6 isn’t even a blip on a radar, no info what so ever, it’s safe to say it will be a long while so with some dedication and properly using XP boost you could get there.

Or lower the insanely high XP requirements. It would be nice if they gave out more Legendary XP boosts. I can’t remember if I’ve ever received a WZ Legendary XP boost. I get Legendary AI boosts occasionally.

I am getting ready to hit 150 myself (tonight actually). How many of you hit Inheritor in Halo Reach? I know that grind was crazy intense as well. I did not hit the max XP (5000 for General) in Halo 3 and i played that a ton too. If the top rank was easily attainable (cough Halo 4), people will stop playing once they hit it. The fact that the 152 grind take between 50 & 70 days of playtime ensures that those who truly want to hit 152 will be playing a while. This could also be related to the fact that Halo 6 may not come out until 2019, IF (and i hope i am wrong) that is the case, keeping people on Halo 5 with the 152 grind is a great way keep people playing. If the release date gets moved up, 343i can always raise the XP payouts to help people hit the max rank a little faster.

Sadly true, in similar boat. Got slightly less exp needed to get max rank but I feel like I could do with all the double exp events that I can get but it gets tiresome after a while so a ‘super Xp weekend’ would be nice but only if it means all playlist instead of specific ones because I hate being forced to only play certain playlists and lose out on exp when I need to a break from playing certain game types.

I think what we get is enough. Granted I wish I had more Legendary Arena XP boosts available to me, but I kind of like that the grind is a feat, in and of itself.

If I get there great, but if not it’s no biggie. I am more interested in, and would be much more proud of getting Diamond or Onyx in HCS or Team Arena. That would be a phenomenal achievement for my Gold/Plat -Yoink-!

I like the grind to but I’ve been grinding since the day the game came out.

Yes, and so have many others. The one thing I think about regarding this is all of those players who got there before Firefight and double XP. Why do we need more incentive then they had? Yeah maybe some of them boosted Warzone or whatever. I still don’t need too many extras to keep playing and reach that 152.
