Don’t you just hate trying to get a lock with a Hydra but you keep getting hit by potshots? Or you’re just about to snipe someone with a Beam Rifle and you get tagged by a random BR shot, causing you to overcompensate and miss? That is so annoying.
This armor mod would basically negate that from happening as long as you still have shields. If your shields are down, you should be taking cover or should already be dead.
In fact, I’m curious as to why this isn’t in the game already as an armor mod. Presently, only the Arrow of Time sniper rifle has this function (AFAIK).
EDIT: If it’s such a balance problem, how about making it so the armor mod only works while you have 50% or more of your shields? This way, taking sustained fire is still going to de-link you. Or it could simply not work with sniper weapons, but still works with homing weapons like Hydras or Rocket Launchers and still works with DMRs and BR’s.

It’s an armor mod that you’d be able to CHOOSE in Warzone. If you want to keep de-scoping, don’t take this armor mod. Simple. It’s OPTIONAL.

It’s not that simple.
The ability to stay zoomed-in despite taking fire has a significant advantage over your opponent. Halo 5 already emphasizes long distance engagements (especially in Warzone). For one player to have this ability over another is too much. Everyone would have to use it. Then we would have Halo 4 all over again.

I have played the entire original trilogy, and it’s nowhere near as punishing when descoped in halo 3 then in halo 5.
