Halfway through The Sequence, an elite got stuck clipped into a wall, impeding my progress as I could not access the beacon until I killed him. My only option was to restart the mission, which lost me a few hours of progress. After I collected all four data pieces, I went to the command tower, and there were no enemies and the door AI pedestal was not interactable. Either I’m missing something or reloading has caused a bug in the event scripting. Please help or tell 343 to add proper save/load features. I understand the checkpoint system is similar to previous titles, but this is open world instead of level based, so that system is applied atrociously.
I had a habit to explore the missions and sometimes broke the game and got bad checkpoints. The trick to repeatedly kill oneself to get the checkpoint before last only works one step. So I sometimes had to replay the whole missions.
Needed updates: revert to checkpoint, replay missions, less/carefully placed checkpoints (no checkpoints out of bounce, no checkpoints in the middle of fights)
I had it happen too.
I did 2 other beacons, and the one that was bugged out had all their enemies reset. Killed them and continued.
Agreed; the fact that this game shipped without a quick save feature that the player controls is completely stupid.
