The matchmaking is so bad, that teams of gold and silver rank are going against high diamond and onyx teams. Ranked slayer is a somewhat good way to combat this because a single teammate can carry a whole team in slayer compared to an objective based game mode where your team is only as good as your weakest teammate. Its probably not a good fix, but its something more viable than trying to carry a team in oddball or ctf thats for sure. Ranked slayer or ranked doubles is a must right now.

The whole issue with the difference in ranks is that ranked is not matching based upon rank, but based upon skill (MMR). And your rank doesn’t per se reflect your skill.
I just had this match:
Gold4+Platinum3+Silver6+Silver6 vs Platinum5+Platinum1+Platinum1+Unranked.
I am one of the two silver-6’s. The other silver-6 disconnected or quit pretty quick, and the platinum-3 quit halway the match, so i and the gold-dude had to fight 2v4 in ranked CTF. I still ended up going positive (12-10). Ofcourse we clearly lost that match…

you hit the nail on the head. let the objjective players play objective and let slayer players play slayer or atleast slayer variances. i wouldnt mind slayer, attrition, and some other slayer type mode bundled and put into a ranked playlist together
