It’s so silly to have a bunch of different game types in a single playlist. This last tac ops event would have been SO much more enjoyable if there was a “tactical ops” playlist where we could select what type of swat we wanted to play. I hate having to roll the dice any time I play a playlist that isn’t FFA or slayer.
Limit the player’s overall choice and they can effectively direct players where they want them to go, how they want them to play and what they want them to buy.

I think the event would be a million times better if they actually played the game and saw how each variant plays on each map. Sidekicks on Behemoth is insanely stupid. It’s such a slow game and the RNG of the Sidekick means gun fights are largely pointless at range.
Bazaar, Live Fire, Streets are fine for Sidekicks and Manglers. Plus Manglers are also good on Aquarius and Recharge. That leaves Launch Site which is only good for BRs considering how massive it is and having Sidekicks or Manglers on that would be dreadfully slow paced.
If you look at the game types & map combos in the menus, you’ll notice that BRs have the most variation but somehow comes up the least. Then followed by Sidekicks with I think all Arena maps minus Launch Site followed by the Mangler on all Arena maps minus Launch Site and Behemoth. Arguably Manglers would be fine on Behemoth potentially.

I actually enjoyed the pacing shift of using short to mid range weapons on bigger maps. It made the lack of cover on behemoth less frustrating. What I didn’t enjoy is sitting there crossing my fingers game after game hoping to get a mangler swat so I could finish the weekly ultimate.
I just can’t fathom why 343 lacks so much confidence in their game that they have to force us all to play game types or variants we simply don’t want to play. Like give us everything? If I want to play commando swat let me pick it? If I want to pay ctf only let me play it?
