Sandtrap was awesome and it made CTF crazy fun. Also, I see no negative outcome from having elephants in maps and it seems to be in line with 343s “interactive map” plan.
- Make and epic BTB map
- Put Elephant in it
- ???
- PROFIT!!!

This is what we need to have h5 be successful.
Agreed. I think it would be cool if they put it on a blizzard snow map. Just imagine seeing the lights from the elephant glistening through the blizzard as it makes its way over the mounds of snow, especially on a dark map.
Also, it would be cool to hear the elephant’s horn on a map like that. The snow would muffle other noises, thus letting you hear the elephant’s horn faintly on the almost silent map.

If it was in a blizzard area it wouldn’t be called an elephant, it would be called a Woolly Mammoth.
Bringing the mammoth or elephant in for h5 would be pretty sweet if you ask me. A map like avalanche but where you can go in a complete circle not just half would make for a great elephant battlefield.

I’m all for the return of the Elephant in H5, although I’m pretty sure the BTB maps will still be around the size of H3/H4 maps, which will limit the role of the Elephant to being a rolling fortress that only has room to maneuver around the edges.
Some day they may produce a BTB spinoff game with a higher player count and large vehicle friendly maps. Then perhaps we could not only have the Halo 3 Elephant, which was a vehicle-recovery transport (and give it the capability to restore damaged vehicles on the battlefield), and we could have the Halo Wars Elephant, which was an armored troop transport that could possibly serve as a place where troops could get their health restored and as a place where weapons spawn, and maybe it could be a moving spawn point.
Here’s hoping 343i will think BIG.
Forgeable Elephants.
I hope Sandtrap returns in H5
Pirate game mode
.stockpile flags on moving elephants/mammoths
.you cant drive the other teams elephant/mammoth
.take flags to your elephant/mammoth
.spawn on elephant/mammoth when area is safe
.random selected pilot, can veto pilot in game
.pilot cant be killed/leave the wheel
.pilot leaves,random selected
Caution-troll pilots will arive

haha why do you have question mark?
btw the elephant is hilariously ret#rded so yes bring it back
YES I love Sandtrap so much that it is the only custom games map I play in halo 3. I would love Halo 5 to have an elephant/mammoth vs a scarab now that would be Awsome!!!

well considering that the scarab is like 15X bigger than the elephant and it doesn’t have any guns except the machine turrets, so yeah i think you’ll know how that end.
I vote Mammoth with working mini-mac cannon instead of Elephant.
I vote for a Mammoth being the map.
JK
If the Elephant were to return, I’d want it to be put on a map with totally different scenery. Imagine driving one on a path through a dense jungle, light rays falling through the leafy canopy. Your team hunkers down as enemy Spartans use guerrilla tactics and drop grenades from the overhanging trees. Then you lower the ramp and release your Warthog with some infantry and tear up the ferns as you try to acquire targets.
Damn.
I’d very much like to have elephant parties again.
If you get drunk enough theyve all had elephants
But seriously that would be cool.

I like that idea, except for the designated pilot thing.
I think another thing they should do is make at least the main swivel turret a rocket launcher a la the rocket 'Hog.

We already have a mammoth. It would still be called an elephant if it were in a blizzard because the vehicle is called the elephant.

Then just a Woolly.
“Chief, we’ve got a friendly Woolly inbound!”
I’m all up for Elephants on a map, and RJ’s idea is pretty awesome.
Wouldn’t mind seeing a Sandtrap-like map with Elephants.
For those wanting the mammoth, remember that those things are HUGE. Having two of those on one map would result in a huge map, much larger than I think 8v8 could handle.
