Note: Won’t work for ranked because of possibility to abuse.
Halo 5/6/etc needs a filter option that allows people to play without a care in the world for trash talking, quitting, etc.
- People with quitting records restricted to searching with this filter on for pre-determined periods of time after quitting repeatedly. - Can be manually turned on in non-ranked play-lists for people who don’t care if they match up with quitters or people who open mic talk trash. - Allows people to keep playing the game while being put aside in an area to play with people who aren’t distressed with quitting as much.Basically no more banning in un-ranked because of people who apparently are super bothered when other players quit. (Never had an issue with this except objective when all the players are evenly matched)
It would match quitters with quitters by instantly switching you to the filter for the duration of the “ban” period while you search games. Players who know they will quit can just search with the filter turned on and quits will not count towards a “ban” while they play and match other quitters.
You can still mute players of course but this won’t count towards a mute ban while searching with filter on. (If we still have that stupid thing)
If you support this please post and state why.
If you disagree it’s a free voiced forum but I won’t repond to everything as I have no emotional investment to waste that much time.
I posted something similar to this a little bit ago and it had a less than lukewarm reception. Supposedly Microsoft has a reputation/reporting system that handles this, but I’ve looked at players I’ve been matched with who have reps at the red end of “needs work” and they are still getting in matches with “good” players. So what the system says and what it actually does do not sync up. Halo obviously has it’s own ban system. The problem with the present system is quitters care more about starting games than finishing them. I agree that that being banned to a quitters’ lobby for an extended period would be better than a complete ban on playing. Give them a place to start as many games as they want. Maybe, just maybe some quitters would play out the ban there instead of smurfing and continuing the quitting in the other playlists. As far as betrayals and super excessive trash talk I think they deserve outright bans. Those behaviors are toxic to the game and the community.
Did you play Friday afternoon? The servers were kicking people like crazy. I got kicked from two Warzone turbo matches in a row, and played a fiesta round where me and a team mate got the win because the game kicked all the other players except us two. Eventually there was an onscreen message saying halo servers were having problems. All those disconnects/kicks count as quits. 343 can’t tell if I rage quit, my internet crashed, or their regular weekend server troubles got me. There are so many regular server problems that any quitter pools, harsher bans, whatever just aren’t feasible or fair.
the system could use an overhaul for sure.
Same with join in progress!
first match of the day, full energy in a good mood. get instantly placed in a match on a team with 34 kills against an enemy team with 48 kills…
LIKE WHAT DIFFERENCE IS IT GONNA MAKE?! it only counts as a loss its total bs…
plus you get less reqs for jipping… i would be fine with having it count as a loss as long as we get the full amount of rp… not like 10% because i joined in the last 20 seconds --’
