Everyone that buys MCC will buy it for nostalgia and classic halo, why not create a classic H4 playlist for those players.
and don’t point to team throwdown. we need a social slayer playlist, not just for the pro players, but that still has the classic halo feel.
Bring back Legendary Slayer playlist?
I really wish those playlists would return as well. However, since 343 Industries haven’t been posting polls related to subjects like this lately, I highly doubt it will happen. It’s been almost two whole years now and no matter how much many of us try, barely anything like this will change. That is what I learned. Once again, I do agree with you on this, 343 should add playlists like the ones you mentioned as it will be a step in the right direction. Halo 4 could slightly regain more population, popularity, and enjoyment among players.
Unless the Halo 4 gametypes in this playlist were modified to have no sprint, no flinch, and descope, it could never be as good as just playing the classics themselves. Even then, the games would have to be played on bland, colorless Forge maps, since Halo 4’s regular maps are stretched out to accomodate sprint.
They need a completely classic one to sustain at least 100 players IMO.

well all the players that wanted Classic Halo left H4 very early, that is the reason why playlists like Legendary slayer that were introduced later in H4 weren’t as popular as something like Infinity Slayer. Now they are both bundled into Team slayer playlist, which is a mistake IMO because they’re pretty different from each other.
People that buy MCC will want classic halo settings, which is why I think this playlist would be more popular.

God yes, legendary setting are one of, if not my favorite halo gametypes, it’s 4 with all the unbalanced garbage removed, if halo 5s social settings were like legendary slayer I’d be totally satisfied.

H:CE will be fun for sure, but people will flock to the newer halos. it’ll probably be this in popularity: H3>H2>H4>H1.
there still should be a classic playlist in each halo, because each Halo title has its own flavor and style to add
What’s the point in adding Classic Halo to Halo 4 in the MCC when you have Halo CE, 2, and 3 with all DLC?

For all who want some oldschool shoot me a message or fr. I got this tweeked playlist were sprint is non existent. Only maps we play on are h2a, warlock sanctuary ect. I know h4 isnt anything like the others but on the settings we play with, stuffs better than h3, due to instant registration. Play some games with us turnin on the xbox now.

They tried to do that. Several problems occured, with two big ones being that many elements that make classic mode playable is not in Halo 4(such as Descope to help prevent long-distance camping and decent response time in movement) and that the population for making a playlist specific to a “Classic” game mode will not happen.
If you really want a classic experience, get an Xbox One, and the Master Chief Collection. Pick whichever one you believe is classic and play to your heart’s content.
