I never thought a Halo game would make me unsubscribe to xbox live. After receiving a short check yesterday due to my vacation to NY, Microsoft’s auto-renew feature kicked in and because I didn’t have the usual funds in that account at the time, it counted as an overdraft. After that and all the frustration that I have been dealing with concerning Halo 4, I’ve come to the decision that it just isn’t worth it anymore.
Post Halo 3, the only game I seem to enjoy are the ones with single player campaigns. (I still think Halo 4’s campaign was awesome). The ones that deliver a decent story with good gameplay mechanics and offer a pretty good amount of replay value. To me, thats worth a one-time 60 dollar fee, but I refuse to pay damn near $10 a month when dev support is at a bare minimum. And yes, I do give 343 credit that they’re at least doing something now because the months of Nov-February were absolutely ridiculous in terms of dev support and community communication. And I’m well aware of other companies being worse terms of support, but this is supposedly a triple A title. It deserved better. And honestly, it still does.
I do not mean to attack 343 because I really hope they do get their stuff together, but honestly from what we’ve seen, I can’t help but feel like we have a developer that doesn’t quite know how to innovate, and developer that is unbelievably out of touch with certain aspects of it’s community and this is why I cancelled my xbox live service. Also, I realize that they’re other games for the xbox, and I’m really excited about gta V, but this does seem to be a problem with not just 343, but other game devs in general. It’s just that we were used to being on top and Halo Reach and Halo 4 were “a long way from home.”
But what keeps you on xbox live? If it is Halo 4, I won’t flame you for it because I do believe there is fun to be had from it, but to me its just not worth the money.

See, unlike you, I don’t need practice, because I don’t care about something as pointless as a videogame. Go ahead, practice, be proud of your pointless skill, while I go and do practice things that matter. Do you really think I’m mad about my sub-par skills? Fine, sorry. To be honest, there really is little to discuss. Much of what you said is agreed upon pretty much everywhere, and you’re going to be very hard pressed to find someone with a different opinion.

I’m sad? Says the guy who is on a video game forum for a game that he doesn’t care about. And you’re a “bronze” so you must be on here quite a lot! For a game you don’t care about.
