That Halo 5 would not have social playlist. This confirms it. Source down below.
Well…that explains social modes like rumble rockets being ranked
>Former Multiplayer Designer on Gears of War
It all makes sense now.

I’m surprised shotguns aren’t starters in Halo now that I know that lol

Just also gos to show that the game was being catered to the MLG crowd and ranked crowd,

Competetive players want social playlists too. There always needs to be both.

That’s hardly ‘confirmation’ - That’s a tweet about ranked/social split, yes, but it’s not a, “There won’t be social playlists in Halo 5.” confirmation. Not even close.

This, exactly this. Halo 4 was too catered to the social/casual crowd, and now Halo 5 is too focused on the competitive people. Halo 3 perfectly catered to both, and it did so with a lot of simplicity. I don’t understand why 343i can’t do something as simple as a selection of social playlists like Rumble Pit and Multi-Team.
The social players were half of the community

thatd be fun. Gnasher battles in gears are always great
“Ranked is the true way to play the game”
Does that seem as wrong and condescending to anyone else as it does to me?

It is wrong. And that is the primary thoughts for compective players and people. They think ranked is the only way to play a game.

That’s actually false. Most competitive players think the lack of social playlists is a big mistake. Most people have times when they wanna play or goof around with no strings attached, even competitive players.

I don’t know him well enough to say. Reading through his responses shows he doesn’t take casual gamers very seriously though. This game is fun, but doesn’t have much for casual players to do. Warzone sounded like a good casual gametype, but it all it seems to do is give better (more competitive and team) players an even bigger advantage.
Hopefully we get some true casual/social gametypes and not be stuck with only FFA or customs as Quinn suggested.

Except the only Gears he worked on was Judgment. AKA, the one Gears game that was a total flop, so much so that EPIC pretty much tried to pretend they never even made it.
Now, he is going to do the same to Halo 5.
