Does anyone else find weapon callouts extremely annoying and against the point of halo? I mean it totally takes away all skill of finding out what weapons your teammates and opponents have. If I hear the enemy has the sniper, obviously I know to look out, and that seems kind of stupid
Quite the opposite I’d say, it enforces the game by giving you the info basically right away, and it helps in random matchmaking when people don’t talk as much.
I agree, its pretty much hand holding. Like seriously the weapon call outs just result in the whole team camping the sniper
i like the call outs sure they need to be toned down a bit but i think there a good addition. i wouldnt be against them adding in a disable option
All automated call outs are annoying.
It’s basically like real mic callous… except since a lot of people don’t communicate, it replaces it, win situation.

Because someone on your fire team (you know, a live person with a mic), saying the exact same things…
“snipe up in 15”
“I got snipe”
“get the snipe”
“watch it, they got snipe”
is annoying and don’t belong in Halo right?!
please…
it is intelligent AI response from AI characters and I don’t mind them at all.

I don’t think so. It has help me out at times. Mostly because people don’t call out any more

You’re welcome
spartan bro-fist
hahahaha
There’s really no reason to be against it.
I think there should be a toggle for people who are playing with a coordinated team, but it is great for team slayer with randoms in match-making. It makes every team slightly more useful, even if your team sucks.
I say: take out the weapon callouts but keep the spartan chatter. The callouts are really annoying and it causes everyone to flood that one point on the map, however I don’t mind the spartan chatter. Another irritating thing about the callouts with regards to the weapons is when he says: “sniper rifle is up, power weapons are up, we have the sniper rifle”
I don’t need a -Yoinking!- running commentary of what my team mates are doing across the map!
The only thing that bothers me is when they yell “I got Snipe!” or “I got Snipes!” It just sounds childish. The call outs are a bit much, just say when the power weapons are up, not when every single one is.
Because the gaming community is full of dickheads talking to team mates is impossible so it was necessary to replace communication
