I believe in the description it says it’s SPI armor. Super hyped for the new content.

I have wanted this in the game ever since I read Ghosts of Onyx.

Man I can’t believe where finally getting SPI armor in a Halo game!!!

But I’ve a question I don’t really play often, I play maybe an hour a day sometimes and I’ve ben playing MCC for almost a year now and I’ve only completed season 1 and maybe 2/3 of season 2.

So basically my question is if happen to miss when some of these things are in the exchange will they ever come back, cause the spi armor only appears once, what if I miss it.

Considering the Orion armor is appearing twice, I think it’s safe to say that it will eventually reappear.

Is there any other older or less well-known armor that you’d like to see usable in a halo game? Some examples I thought up:

  • Halo 3 pilot helmet (fun fact: H3 pilots take no headshot damage)
  • Halo Wars flame marine armor
  • Halo 3 ODST NMPD helmet (it could function similarly the Halo Reach Military Police helmet in that it looks like marine/non-spartan equipment but still hides the face - might be useful for machinimas)
  • Halo 2 ODST armor
  • Master Chief’s modified Mark VI from Halo 4/5 (the opening cutscene of Halo 4 somewhat implies that there were other spartans with similar armor permutations)

I have wanted SPI since Ghosts of Onyx. I always hoped it would be added to Halo 3. So glad that finally came to pass.

I have a mate who’s obsessed with SPI, i showed him the picture and he’s still freaking out for 10 mins now

It is interesting that you can use SPI in the game where you play as a Spartan II, but it’s not available in Reach, the game where you play as a Spartan III. I would have at least hoped that the helmet would be available, much like the season 8 helmets.

Maybe Reach SPI will come later? The Halo 3 mark VI armour model does differ greatly from the Reach mark V, so it is understandable that they couldn’t do both simultaneously. I hope it comes eventually. That would feel very appropriate.

For now, it’s great that we have it in Halo 3 for now. I am very happy with that.

The reason for that is because there are 2 versions of it: Halo 3, and Halo 2: Anniversary
