We Don't Want This (WITH PROOF)

This is all so ironic. We all came here so that we could share our ideas and opinions and try to make Halo a better game. Many of you have even spent months on this forum voicing your opinions, and now we all know that these opinions didn’t matter. Apparently, 343 wants Halo to just be another Call of Duty with Halo in the title. Instead of focusing on the issues we had with the game, they just created completely new ones that were stupid and would never work in the game.

It’s almost as if the people who thought Armor Lock would be a good idea came along and made a brand new Halo game.

Anyways, the purpose of this thread is to show you all at 343 that this is not what the players want, if you haven’t already noticed from all the threads here.

I conducted a survey call the Halo Census, where I polled many people throughout the forum. I have not yet finished counting the results, but it’s pretty obvious that these results are widespread throughout the forum.

Here’s what I found, after gathering the results from 39 people:

Male or Female?
38 people polled are male. (97%)
1 people polled are female. (3%)

Do you play as a Male Spartan, or Female Spartan?
31 of them play as male spartans. (79%)
8 of them play as female spartans. (21%)

Do you want Jetpack in Halo 4?
12 of them want jetpack in Halo 4 just as it was in Reach. (31%)
9 of them want jetpack in Halo 4, with either a lot of change from Reach, or in Customs only. (23%)
18 of them do not want jetpack in Halo 4. (46%)

Do you want Armor Lock in Halo 4?
32 people do not want Armor Lock in Halo 4. (84%)
5 people want Armor Lock in Halo 4, customs only. (13%)
1 person wants Armor Lock in Halo 4, just as it was in Reach. (3%)

Do you want Sprint in Halo 4?
22 people want sprint in Halo 4. (63%)
13 people do not want sprint in Halo 4. (37%)

Do you want Active Camo in Halo 4?
11 people want Active Camo in Halo 4 as it was in Reach. (29%)
2 people do not want Active Camo in Halo 4. (5%)
25 people want Active Camo in Halo 4 as a pickup, similar to Halo 1-3. (66%)

Do you want Armor Abilities in Halo 4?
9 people want Armor Abilities in Halo 4. (w/ a little tweaking) (25%)
22 people do not want Armor Abilities in Halo 4 at all. (61%)
5 people want Armor Abilities, but only in customs and forge. (14%)

Which do you prefer, the BR, or the DMR?
26 people prefer the BR over the DMR. (81%)
6 people prefer the DMR over the BR. (19%)

Which do you care about more for Halo 4, the campaign or multiplayer?
18 people care more about campaign than multiplayer. (48%)
19 people care more about the multiplayer than campaign. (52%)

What was your favorite halo game?
3 people say Halo CE is their favorite halo game.(8%)
17 people say Halo 2 is their favorite halo game. (46%)
13 people say Halo 3 is their favorite halo game. (35%)
3 people say Halo 3: ODST is their favorite halo game. (8%)
1 person says Reach is their favorite halo game. (3%)

It’s pretty obvious from even the last question, that no one wanted another Reach. Unfortunately, it sounds like this one will be even worse. Do yourself a favor 343, and save your fanbase while you have a chance. Do what the FANS want, not money-hungry Microsoft. Try to make a game which will give you a leading position in the gaming world which will be one of respect and victory, not one of utter failure and disinterest in what the fans want.

You man, are a very dedicated person, even though 343 dont appreciate it, i sure as hell do.

Awesome thread. 343i, do you even listen?!!

39 people isn’t much. That’s as accurate as making a survey on which number a die is going to land on after 39 throws. Not very accurate.

As do I.

I know… Where is this “core Halo” Frankie?

> 39 people isn’t much. That’s as accurate as making a survey on which number a die is going to land on after 39 throws. Not very accurate.

But I’ve read through many others and I actually listen to the people on this forum. The survey just verifies that people on the forum expect certain things from 343, many of these being obvious changes that would make Halo better. I didn’t say that this represents the opinions of the forum purely because of the 39 people, but just take a look around. Most people on here agree with this.

Lawl at people thinking this is ‘proof’. OP, if you handed this in to a Statistics teacher, I doubt they’d give you a U. Most likely this would happen.

we could do it with 50 thousand people and have similar results.

I see what you did there.

Sorry Couldn’t resist

Exactly.

he might get a Q or a Z though.

And you could compare that 50 thousand to the couple of million that have already pre-ordered H4. It’s still going to be a minority opinion.

Which you know how? Come on, you just claimed to speak for 50,000 people, where’s your support?

Halo 4 has only around 200,000 pre orders.

Only three people liked Halo CE as their favorite Halo game…

What kind of blasphemy is this?

I mean, I can get them liking Halo 2 over CE, but Halo 3?

This is all my opinion, but this has me dumbstruck.

I’d give myself an A+ at the very least for effort. Counting all these results one by one takes a long time…

LOLOL You guys kill me, there is less than 50 people poled here and that fan base (the radicals that camp on game forums 8 months before release) is divided. Mostly in line with there own ideas.
