Taking the ball and running across the map is fine but flag isn’t for you? Wtf? I personally think that if you have the ball, spartan abilities should be disabled. Sure, it can save your life, but it also gives the carrier easy kills because they can just thrust towards you and get an easy one hit

I’ve been saying this for a while now. There’s no real contribution here. Plus I have only seen him return a couple of times to contribute to the conversation he starts.
Anyway on topic, it was a needed change to not allow the carrier to be able to Thruster. It was a little too easy to stay ahead of the fighting otherwise.
To Be Honest, I’m happy that ball holder doesn’t boost. The pass couple of times i played i got magic hands, not because im MLG/ HCS pro, it was all my team mates talking to me, asking me for call outs, surrounding me at all sides. When everyone has mics and are on the same page as you, ODD BALL is -Yoinking!- Fun. Not all matches are like this, maybe 2 out 5 but i still have fun regardless. I just wish Halo Players would talk more in game so i don’t have to rely on the Spartan Characters for call outs.

people in the world are like this unfortunately, they live to cause trouble for others and be unhappy. I have my problems with halo 5 (still a good game, please don’t mute me) but this guy is just trolling
I don’t understand why soo many gang up on people if they have a complaint? Just because he isn’t being positive doesn’t mean his points aren’t valid. Generally most people will give feedback on something they don’t like because most people that enjoy the game don’t feel the need to post about it. This game can be frustrating at times soo I can understand where the OP is coming from. I try to look at things objectively without getting too emotional soo I can see the message behind the post regardless of how I may personally feel.

No one is jumping on him because he’s not positive.
It’s because he’s always negative.
If anything, he’s making a contradiction through what Meds pointed out. He wants Thruster in Oddball to escape easier, but Abilities should be removed from flag carriers because it’s too easy to escape.
Preventing the ball carrier to thrust directly at you getting a one hit kill like a sword almost with unlimited ammo was the reason I assumed you couldn’t.

Even if he does always post negative things I would still try to understand where he is coming from, but that’s just me. Some people just aren’t good at expressing themselves fully soo it can come off as angry when it can be just passion for something they love. Maybe things in life aren’t going soo well and Halo is the escape. I don’t know for sure but I know what it’s like to have some hard times.
I can see your point about contradiction with CTF and Oddball with thrusters but they are quite different game modes. Since oddball is best played holding a certain area gaining time and CTF is best played getting a fast route to score a Flag.
There was thrust in assault even if two thrusts were too much. Oddball was pretty much built off of assault in this game soo could see why someone would expect there to be a thrust. More than anything probably feels weird not having thrust in a game where you always have it

I guess you have missed every single thread he has started that is pretty much a complaint with no constructive feedback concerning it. This member has been asked repeatedly to make posts with some actual feedback. If you look at his post history you will see that it is almost all simply open ended questions all expressing distaste for a game that he/she plays the -Yoink- out of. The fact that there is no effort in this area to improve on the posts shows a clear disregard for this community.
In regards to your opinion on Thrust I disagree. It is a crazy idea since this ability was already removed. Also the OP needs to decide which he wants flag thrust or Oddball thrust. Why like one and not the other?

Yea I can understand where everyone is coming from with regards to his posts I have seen a few of them. They are usually negative but I try not to right someone off because of that. Maybe I’m giving him too much credit but I have been in a similar head space in the past soo guess can relate.
I think for CTF thrust isn’t needed as much since during a flag run your normally just sprinting and juggling the flag. For oddball since your normally going to die from grenades having a thrust would be okay if it was a two hit melee .

I agree, and multikills with the ball would also be much easier with this. If you’re hiding in an enclosed area you’d be able to take out multiple enemies on your own with little to no problem. The fact that the ball carrier needs to be protected by the rest of the team is a core concept of oddball.
