I love how she specifically says this when you’ve lost all the bases.
Like, how do you destroy their core if you need to be holding all the bases first… Let alone do it before your own core is destroyed due to being unguarded? It’s the most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard, and that’s saying a lot, for Palmer.
If you listen carefully her next line is … “After you shot the pig flying over your head in a bashee”

God knows how but enough of our team was able to hold off their whole team to let the us of us take all three bases within second of each other and storm THEIR base, by the time they got back to their base it was all but over … Ghosts, Mantis and a Warhog and about half our team was blowing the S##T out of their core. Bet they couldn’t believe what happened in the space of a minute !
I always chuckle when she says that.
You would think that after the backlash that 343 got about her just trolling on in Spartan Ops, they would have toned her down a bit in Halo 5.

Me and my friends joke about this crap so much. Even in Arena if the game is hopeless we are still mockingly saying “Guys, we can still destroy their core.”

When she says that and their about to win I normally tell everyone " We’er f##ked, pick your favourite weapon and go kill someone …"

She tries so hard to build morale, but she’s really just letting them know that the beating isn’t done yet, just a few more minutes and you can go cry.

I agree. I have also come back and won from worse situations. Its so easy for a team winning to get overconfident, giving the other team the option to come back and indeed, win. I have been there.

This is actually false. You can indeed come back and win. It is rare, but it is possible for sure.
I think she says it when the enemy team reaches a certain amount of points, meaning they can be winning by points, but defending their home base. Either that or she’s just an (huge) optimist.
