We aren't getting playable Elites, are we?

So today I decided to give Halo 5 another chance and to my surprise I found myself having a small amount of fun.

But then I realized I would be having alot more fun if I was playing as an Elite.

My fear is that 343 simply won’t put any way to play as an Elite.

I understand that Halo’s multiplayer is a canon simulation now, but why can’t a few of The Arbiter’s Elites play a friendly round of war games with their Spartan allies? Or why can’t a Spartan just assume the role of an Elite, like how the Spartans played as The Flood in Halo 4?

343 please let us play as E****lites.

Eh, there hundreds of sprint threads, and most are used to them, so I think a couple dozen sangheili threads wouldn’t hurt.
