Seriously, do they put monkeys in charge of making these challenges?
“Win 20 matchmaking Slayer matches.”
There is just so much wrong with this challenge.
Are they aware how long that could take? Games probably average around 8-10 minutes. 8 x 20 is 160 and 10 x 20 is 200. So, from winning every slayer game you play, it could take 2 hours and 40 minutes to 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete this challenge. Only a small percentage of us could actually win 20 straight slayer games, especially because of TrueSkill giving us tough matches.
This is a Daily Challenge. Winning 20 slayer matches is a daily challenge, while winning 70 War Games matches is a monthly challenge… We are getting one day to complete something that will take us about one third of the time as our monthly challenge, which we are given about 30x more time to complete.
We get 1350 XP for this. You have got to be kidding me. The other daily challenge gives us 2350 XP… for getting 9 kills with a secondary in a single match. Most of us could go into one game of SWAT and get 9 kills with the pistol while it may take others a few tries. And don’t forget we’re given a shotgun as our secondary in our loadouts for other playlists.
So, I think I’ve made myself clear. I thought the daily challenge of winning 9 CTF games was bad since those games can last 15 minutes. We need better challenges. Give the job to someone on your team that actually plays this game a good amount in his free time so he’ll know what he’s doing. Then, just run those challenges by some people that also play the game to see if they also like them.
For me, the challenges are a big part of the game and give me something to shoot for and I always check the challenges as soon as I get on.

So the challenge that’s reasonable is the one that gives more exp?

I’m asking for an easier challenge, yes. Either that or a reward that makes completing the challenge worth it.
When challenges were introduced in Reach I though they would be like “watch this cool video on Youtube about a campaign glitch someone found and do it yourself!” (like time traveling in H3) or “find the <whatever> easter egg!” or “kill every enemy on <place> in <mission> without being detected/shooting on <difficulty>!” or something wild like that.
I was disappointed when it turned out to be “kill <amount> enemies in <game mode>”. Everyday. Sadly, it’s the same in Halo 4.
