I want to see interactive parts of the environment that allow me to play the game as if it isn’t just a “shoot and kill, and progress.” Yes, after a couple of matches I will jump in a ghost or warthog and simply determine my goal for the rest of the match as simply a “splatter-fest” of Noob Brains all over my windshield.
What is my point? Add something in the environment that is simply something interesting and intuitive. It already has been announced in Call Of Duty: Ghosts…
When you say it has been announced for CoD: Ghosts, do you mean the pre-order map were the map progressively collapses?
If so, no thanks, that’s a little too extreme. If we were to have interactive elements, something like the bridge on Last Resort, or the button on Vertigo in the upcoming Champions Bundle.

I’d actually like something like:
A pelican crashes 25% of the way through the match in centre field
A train comes off the rails and crashes through a wall, ripping the doors off and also creating a new tunnel 50% through the match
Doors which progressively open during a match of CTF
A Longsword flies over every minute and drops bombs on an open section
A planet is slowly glassed, changing the environment from blue sky to grey-purple clouds during the match. Mist descends, but gameplay is unaffected (except visually). 80% of the way through a match, it will be difficult to see in front of you except in buildings.
A train stops and can be ridden to the other side of the map
A MAC blast hits a building, half destroying it
A Halo activates when 1 second is left on the clock, whiting out the match

But, all on the same map would be epic =) (Mom likes explosions, hee hee)

Some of thise would be nice, while others would only create more “randomness” thus problems and people crying here on the forums.
Yes, but nothing too grand. I’d rather have things like the turbine or the bridge or the door on Last Resort/Zanzibar than buildings exploding.
EDIT: I do like the idea of a fog settling, or a boardable train that goes around the map. Those are great and subtle ideas that can help make maps unique and I subscribe to them!
What I was actually thinking was “destructible environments” like what was seen in Battlefield Bad Company 2.
For me, this really upped the realism factor and I wish that more games would follow with this attribute for what I think should be adopted into the norm for almost every game that includes weapons and/or explosions.
When I shoot a rocket at a brick wall, I would think that the wall would also explode and not just leaves a little soot mark but thats just me.

If it’s all specifically timed then it isn’t random
Random means uncontrollable and unpredictable. This is hardly that.
The bridge and base’s gate in Zanzibar from Halo 2 and the gate in High Ground were Halo 3. I very much enjoy interactive environments in multiplayer maps.
Problem with the above is player controlled actions must be kept only to doors and bridges, and map-controlled actions should be non-randomly timed, and much larger.
Imagine if I had the power to self destruct my base. I would press the button instantly, because I like boom.
