That might be because Master Chief found it too hard, he is like 40 in 4 and 5 also there are not that many guns to duel wield other than the magnum or needler. The weight of two modern day AR15s fully loaded are 10 lb. 0.2 ounces and holding two would be around 20 lb. 0.4 ounces and that is really heavy so how would MC be able to shoot and hit targets. As for duel wielding an SMG you know how hard it is to hit smack and if the one from ODST you won’t be able to hit most things other than brutes. And with bloom doing that is hard. You also have to reload with another gun in your hand. It really just isn’t a good idea to go in with two guns like Rambo you are also an easy target for elites who are hard to hit, and grunts are the same way. And how do you hit a grunt with two guns because if you melee them you drop your other gun. With the armor stuff from reach and four and five it not that good of an idea. Also, with the stuff from Infinite the wall one is the only good one for dual wielding. So that is why

I beat Reach on the OG disc and 3. So could you not say that I only played 4 and 5 I haven’t even played fours multiplayer. And just because the MC can’t do one thing you think we aren’t him. You know sometimes dual wielding isn’t a good idea in four how do you call in a heavy drop because in reach it showed you had to use a finger to call in or talk to high command with two guns like an AR or in five how do you use thrust with two guns or armor lock. In Infinite how can you use a grappling hook with two guns. Or it’s because 343I didn’t think it was a good idea to keep dual wielding in the game because their games have a different playstyle. But I don’t like 5s movement and skill-based gameplay.

They didn’t remove duel wielding because the Chief can’t do it anymore, they removed duel-wielding because it wasn’t balancing well with the other weapons in the multiplayer.
It’s not a lore or story thing, it was removed purely for a multiplayer/game play balance.

@kkolossal that is what I am saying it’s not a good idea to keep in the game because of gameplay. Also did I forget to say most people never used dual wielding in 3 I have played a few of 3s matches in MCC and I saw no one use dual wielding. I didn’t even use it in my playthrough of 3 only some in 2. You can’t even do a noob combo you would have use a plasma pistol then try and cap someone with the magnum while still holding a plasma pistol. The only good option is a needler that melts people so that is super op. And the SMGs it’s fun in campaign but someone might cap you with a BR and using one SMG is better. You are at more of a disadvantage than an advantage because you can melee and shoot better guns like a BR or Sniper or so on and so on not saying the guns you can dual wield are bad. But it’s easier to just not use dual wielding.

It’s okay to not understand how these things work, but don’t lash out and insult or throw accusations around when you have no idea what you’re talking about.
It wasn’t due to players complaining about duel-wield, as a matter of fact, people asked for it to come back and instead we were told it couldn’t be balanced well with all the other weapons.
They would probably need to create a specific weapon that was designed only to be duel-wielded for Infinite. Like Duel SMGs or something, but even then… why not just use the AR?
