I don’t play as an Elite in MP myself, but I do have friends who are hoping for their opportunity too! I am sure we will have the final answer for playable elites in MP during E3.

I hope they do, it adds so much more diversity to the halo community that other games cannot offer
I don’t think they will be. But I hope they are. I do like to play them now and then.
I hope they are, but I wouldn’t count on it.
I think they will be but only in a specific mode. I’m guessing there will be a new BTB mode that features some cross-race gameplay (or at least Humans Vs. Covenant). And not really invasion, but a BTB-like gamemode with maps specifically made for this mode
In escalation they showed elites in invasion on the infinity, so they are canonically possible
Reminder that the poll is asking if you believe they’ll make an appearance, not if you want them to.
I hope they do, but I don’t think they will. Especially with Invasion not returning.
I really would like to see them back, but my friend, I’m afraid that they won’t

I neither want them to nor believe they will.
The new direction for Multiplayer seems to be Spartans training on the Infinity. Playing as an Elite isn’t exactly beneficial for a Spartan’s training.
I voted “no” because of 343’s insistence on keeping mp canon and the fact that they announced no invasion game mode this time around.
but…
Already they’ve confirmed several popular features that won’t be returning but so far no word on elites. Also, there are soooo many people who want it. Including elites is a slam-dunk that would raise 343’s stock considerably in the hearts and minds of many players. Not including elites would be such a missed opportunity.

They shouldn’t add variation that has been approved of and applauded in the past because it seems that their direction is on spartans? What a -Yoink- excuse. It’s not like the whole point of combat simulations are to train for real combat, and since you think direction is important to adding features, wouldn’t knowing how to cooperate in battle with and against elites essential, considering that they are fighting the storm and are allies with the swords of sanghelios? God the reasons people come up with, “it seems that it wouldn’t fit,” really?! What a joke.

For one, where is there any evidence at all of Spartans and Elites training side by side?
Actually even fighting side by side is speculation. The Brutes and Elites were a part of the same military, they were also entirely segregated.
Why would Spartans even need to pretend to be Elites in their simulations? Do some of them have a fursona? Makes no sense.
At best I could see an invasion gametype happening, because then it would make actual sense for some of them to play as Elites.
Let me reword that. The direction IS on Spartans Training. 343I has made this pretty obvious.

Halo: Hunters in the Dark, releasing June 16, 2015, plot summary:
> Now, as a tenuous peace exists between the humans and the Elites, a startling scientific discovery is made…and the riddle behind its Forerunner origins could very well seal the fate of the entire galaxy within a matter of weeks. In order to unravel these dangerous secrets, a heroic, hastily formed coalition of humans and Elites must attempt to overcome their differences as they embark on a covert mission back to the Ark
Honestly the release of this novel at this specific time could be considered strong evidence that Elites will be playable alongside Spartans in Halo 5 multiplayer.

Except for the mentions of joint training operations happening before, specifically on anvil. Also considering that the h2a cutscenes show arbiter and lockes Spartan team in a litch and then preparing for combat against “the covenant” and standing side by side. Post halo 4 343 has made multiple instances of showing positive sangheli and human interaction, they have hinted at it, and unlike halo 4, they have yet to deconfirm elites, despite already deconfirming invasion, which would be the perfect place to announce no elites as well. I don’t think they’ll be in halo 5 per se, but their behavior is radically different than it was with halo 4, which I find curious. They aren’t deconfirming anything and are making media related to elite and spartan cooperations, which is an odd thing to do, and having all this weird hintiness and waiting so far to not have made a statement on it is odd.

Know thy enemy.
And besides Elites are confirmed to partake in the wargames so that argument is invalid.
