That from the plot of Halo 5 story Cortana is evil now and we will have to kill her. But the main question is, how do YOU want to kill her?
Chief should be the one to do it. I don’t want her to die but obviously thats out of my control unfortunately. Maybe he can fix this?
Well the question is what is currently keeping her alive? Does all Chief have to do is figure out where her data chip is and stomp on it? Try to destroy the rest of the domain that was previously assumed to be destroyed, can it even be entirely destroyed? Is she essentially immortal now? Is this even the real Cortana?

Mainly because she ended up screwing up the entire narrative.
Uh, she’s an AI so I doubt we can have any arby-stab-through-the-torso like we saw in Halo 3.
I think it would be kinda cool for Roland (or some other AI you get to know) to take her out in like an epic domain AI 1v1.

Well… -Yoink!- didn’t start that way. He started by taking over neighboring countries, which is exactly what Cortana is doing by claiming pretty much every planet in the Orion Arm is under the Created. Next thing she’ll be doing is going all “purge the heretics” on anyone that refuses to bow to her, like -Yoink!- did.
Do something that disconnects her from the domain and burns her access to mechanical devices so that she is forced to stay into a hardlight form.
Then take the god pistol, the CE magnum, and shoot her in the head…and then -Yoink!- her corpse
Obviously Chief has to be the one to kill her. But personally if I was Chief, I would activate heartless-spartan mode and just pull the plug on Cortana. And then go have a drink with Fred. And I don’t mean the Freddy of Blue Team.

Then -Yoink!- killed himself and his fellow allies which Cortana will kill her self with a Guardian and her allies with a Composer.

If you don’t like the plot of Halo5, you should rewind the time before Halo4 release date.
Cortana was working normally at Halo3. Sad Cortana ;(
