There’s no limit to how -Yoinking!- pissed I am. This has happened to me before. I even wrote out a whole story of the problem 3 minutes ago, but I accidentally deleted it, and there was like, 3000 letters in it. Thanks, God. Long story short, I can’t see my own customized Spartan in any Waypoint app. Not on the website, not on the Xbox, not on the Windows Phone. It’s not a connection error and it’s not because of my previous Spartan model from when I started the damn game. I’ve been told that this problem would be fixed either from establishing a new internet connection, one that was better than my previously equipped one, or that this would be fixed after the new update released. Some help that was, because none of the above worked.
I’m getting a little pissed with Waypoint. I checked, and I’m like the only one on Earth with this problem. There’s no site or even a section of a site that explains this problem. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one getting picked on by -Yoink- luck, or Waypoint just plain hates me.

They said it would be a bit rocky to start. I am sure they are working on it. I love the new site and can;t wait for it to be 100% to really get the most out of it.

You know what I would do. If this problem still exists only for you and is fixed for everyone else: I would PM BS Angel and tell her your issue. She is great about getting back with people about problems like this.

lots of servers related to a BIG project like this. It seems many of them are not yet working as intended, so some people may be offline. (since with as many accounts as I suspect they have, they get divided between servers and stuff)
Well, it happened. I went on my Xbox and went to Waypoint to see if my Spartan had been fixed… turns out, everybody else’s was… mine wasn’t. I tried PMing BS Angel but unlike what Link1201 said, BS Angel doesn’t seem to be able to be “getting back” to me with this problem, even though I PMed her earlier this week. I went from being pissed beyond limit to being deeply sad and disappointed.
I don’t know if I’m supposed to either delete my LIVE account and spend a whole bunch of money for Gold again or if I’m supposed to just lose faith in Waypoint’s “awesome update” and just move to something better like Gears of War. Either way, I’m fed up with being part of some rare glitch that 1% of people are in that I somehow managed to fall in. I guess I was just seriously unlucky to be part of such a rare and unknown problem on Halo Waypoint. All I know is, people like Burnum or Link1201 tried to help me. Even though staff of the actual Waypoint team (such as BS Angel) somewhat weren’t able to help me, and that kinda tells me that Waypoint isn’t properly reinforced or it just lacks more stability if me and 3 of my friends have this problem and they don’t even have a mere help section on the site for this problem.
I don’t know how else I’m supposed to draw attention to this issue because I’ve contacted staff (BS Angel) about it and posted a forum about this and yet still, it seems all for nothing. I was a die-hard hard fan of Halo, but I guess it was because Bungie was a team of professionals, that actually got my Spartan model right on its website, and was a HUGE successful gaming company, a legend if you will. When 343i launched its Waypoint app and talks about bettering social features such as accurate game stats, I thought this would be, if not the same, better than when Bungie worked on Halo, but I guess you just can’t top the original.
Well, if you guys have any other suggestions, I’d be open to them. I’m glad to hear some people care, but you guys shouldn’t be wasting yourselves on helping me and the rest of the 1-2%, it should be 343i and the rest of the Waypoint committee living up to its false-promises and trying to stabilize and better its own system. I’ll listen to what anyone has to say about the situation here but I may delete my account by January of 2O12. Like I said, experiencing such a pain in the -Yoink- while everyone’s “livin’ it up” kinda sucks, and I don’t think I deserve this -Yoink-.

We got word that there is supposed to be a fix coming in December. I do hope this fix resolves your issue as well. You can also try @halowaypoint as well to see if they have an answer. Okay, if your issue is that your XBox Live Avatar is completely missing, the one that you can dress however you want, you’ll need to take that up with XBox Live support.
If your player model isn’t updating, be patient and pop a top on a can of suck it up. Compared to all the other issues that need resolving the pictures of our fictional soldier guys being updated every five minutes is the lowest of the lowest priorities.
Don’t forget, for awhile Bungie had to completely turn it off when they still controlled it and Reach was first released.
Last thing. If you’ve been PMing all these other for help using the language that you’re using in this thread, no wonder you’re getting no response.
A picture not updating is no reason to twist off and blast profanity filled posts.
hell if you think I’d curse at a staff, that’s like building your mansion on top of an Indian burial ground. That -Yoink- is bad luck and I know it don’t help. You almost sound right, though! I probably would’ve treated your “suck it up” advice like it was worth somethin’ if you even listened to what I said or at least walked in my shoes.
If you had a cut on your thumb that bled a little wouldn’t you get pissed? No? I guess you would either ignore or put a bandaid on it. It’s not like it really matters. What if it kept bleeding non-stop night and day no matter what you put on it? Wouldn’t that freak you out? It’s cool, you don’t need to be cursing, just see a doctor. What if you had to fill papers for new health insurance and randomly by accident, you lit your papers on fire while lighting a smoke or somethin’. Okay, you have a little bad luck. It’s not like I’d be even the slightest bit of angry, right? If you decided you would be angry, at least your as honest as you are good with your choice of words. If not, you’re in denial. And that’s basically what happened when I opened this post, after typing this a million times either on this website or a million times on another.
I didn’t even show a sign of “flip” when I sent BS Angel the message because unlike you, Link1201 kept givin’ me help that actually helped me understand the problem better, without (no offense) Yoink! attitude. As for flippin’ out, it happened too much, I just wanted to get it over with. I’m sorry, I’m human. You almost sound like a human isn’t allowed to feel the ‘anger’ emotion. Basic summary: It happened too many times, too long, I had alot of bad luck when I tried posting about this or researching the problem, I ignored it for a long time, I don’t even know if it’s a “Spartan-updating” problem or if my Spartan just cannot exist, there’s almost no help for this one problem (except for the things Link sent me which I’m HIGHLY greatful for, honest), and this post is for this problem only. So if you think this problem ain’t serious and that it’s minor to everything else, turn around, take your ignorance, and -Yoink- off. I don’t think you read what this thread is about. Go whine on a different post, I ain’t into it.
Well I’m very happy now. My spartan model is fixed. It looks like the graphics are a little rusty but I’m just grateful to know my player model was just the one I had from when I started the game instead of my Xbox or internet connection sucking. YEEEAAAAAHHH!!! Thanks guys for helpin’ me stick in there, I was pretty pissed at first ‘cause alot of things was goin’ on for me lately but now I’m glad my Xbox account or connection isn’t messed up. Now… I just have to get my Xbox from Microsoft repairs before Christmas. ‘Yoink’.
