Waypoint Not Working

Having the same problem, though I just downloaded Halo Waypoint, so Halo Waypoint has never worked for me… yet.

I am definitely connected to xbox live, and I DO have a gold membership

Waypoint on xbox seems to not be working for me, all it ever says is " RETRIEVING DATA" and does not load the screen. What’s happening?

I start up Halo Waypoint (pops up with Play Now/Download Again/Cancel, supposed to do that?), and as soon as I press start to get on, it says failed to load your article. Then just brings me back to the screen to press start, and happens again.

I have tried redownloading, clearing system cache and deleting my xbox live profile and redownloading that also.

Any idea? :S

I always get stuck on “retrieving data”.

I received a notification today that required a Halo Waypoint update, i did the update and the system restarted the Waypoint but now its stuck on the frakin “Retreiving Data” screen, i left it thinking it was updating information and then returned to it 2 hours later and its still “Retreiving Data” whats the issue DEV’s???

At the moment, I can’t get into Halo Waypoint on my Xbox. After I press start, it doesn’t load. All it does is say that it is receiving data. Is this affecting anybody else at the moment?

I’ve seen a few posts on it today. I haven’t seen a response from a mod about it, but I’d assume they’re working on it.

There was a small update for Waypoint recently. Did you download that without any trouble?

Yep, no worries there. I’m managed to get in after a third try, so I’m sorted temporarily.

Hmm, well I am glad you got it working. I haven’t had any trouble but as mentioned before I had seen others post with similar issues. Hopefully it is not affecting too many people.

I tested it at the office, and just now at home. Doesn’t look like it was an issue at our end. It’s completely possible your isp was having issues with certain server paths. Not sure if that’s the case, but glad to see it’s again for you.

i really hope that if a mobile version comes out that it will include the forums, currently it is very difficult to use it lol,

Hey angel! Long time no talk. Just wanted to let you know that it took me three tries to get into console version of Waypoint. Seems I’m having general connections issues as well, but saw this thread and figured I’d let you know that my isp seems to be one of the affected (TWC).

Just to confirm what others have reported.

I updated 3 Xbox’s over the weekend and all 3 have a similar problem.

The update applied correctly, then it stuck at “Retrieving data” Restarted console and eventually allowed me to use Waypoint but this was after a long pause and a black screen. 2 of my Xbox’s appear to be operating ok now but loading waypoint is slow. My 3rd Xbox is stuck at “Retrieving data” constantly. (Xbox’s updated via VirginMedia UK)

I also noticed that when I quit Waypoint my Xbox will now sit with a Black Screen for quite sometime, causing me to turn Off/On to clear the problem.

My Windows Phone appears to be “Retrieving data” very slowly as well with Waypoint taking up to 5 minutes to login to my character, but this was after several attempts and Windows Phone hasn’t had an update. (Phone connects through Orange & 3 Mobile Broadband UK)

Fingers crossed it will sort itself out soon.

I’ve been trying every now and then over the past few days, and have yet to have been able to connect.

My ISP is Eclipse (UK) and never had any problems with them at all.

Update made no difference.

I went into Halo Waypoint on my Xbox 360, it said it had an update so I downloaded the update and all. After that I went into Waypoint and it went to the “Retrieving Data” screen which usually lasts only a few seconds only this time it stays there. Forever. Anyone else getting this? The screen doesn’t freeze it just isnt retrieving the data…or at least not in a single human lifetime.
