Waypoint not compatible with Opera Browser?

I have noticed this for awhile now. I hadn’t been too worried about it until CSR came out. It is such a hassle when I would like to look at my stats.

I am just one of those people to use Opera, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t be compatible. I know just use a different browser, but like most people we are comfortable with certain browsers and I am with Opera.

I know you guys are probably aware about this, but I am just pointing it out to show someone cares.
I hope it will be compatible in the near future…

Because opera is not a webkit browser.

Many web apps require webkit support. Good news for you is that from googling “opera webkit”, it sounds like Opera may be implementing webkit support soon

Do you get an error message, but still have the option to continue to use the stats app? If so, then that sounds like user-agent detection, which Waypoint has used before. This workaround should still work, though I haven’t checked.

That’s… not how it works… :\

Unfortunately no. I like Opera, but since I come here so often I use Chrome now. I actually find it faster.

You are correct, Opera will be adopting webkit, unfortunately Chrome will be leaving it.

“No” as in no error message, or “no” as in my workaround (user-agent spoofing) no longer works?

If the latter, then lemme know and I’ll see if I can find another workaround for you guys.

Side note: Opera’s actually a very good browser, and one of the “big five.” I’m surprised that Waypoint doesn’t officially support it (and a little saddened to hear that it’s switching to WebKit – I’ve never been too fond of any of the WebKit browsers).

Hey thanks alot. It worked.

I love Opera but I’ve found that for browsing/working on Waypoint, it’s better if I stick to something other than Opera, unfortunately. I’m not sure the browser mimic thing would work for what I have in place…but it’d be neat if it did!
