The app currently allows customisation of emblem and service tag within the flight. It also allows customisation of voice but I’m not sure if that actually works.

According to the support page you need to install Halo Channel from the Play Store, then choose the option to join the beta from the Play Store page. That doesn’t seem to be available as far as I can see. I used the app ages ago, but when I try to load it now, it just pops up with a message about being unable to retrieve data.
Can anyone else confirm this or is it only a problem on my end?

No, it’s not just you. I too have the same problem. I contacted Support and I’m waiting for a fix. I have also contacted Google and there’s nothing they can do on their end so it’s Microsoft/343.

Well thank you for letting me know at any rate. It is always frustrating when you don’t know whether or not tech problems are unique to you.
The beta version of the website doesn’t seem to let you customise service tags and akin. At least, not yet. Not the end of the world but these little personalisation touches are nice to have.

Yeah, they’re still testing it seems
I am hoping additional features are added, such as being able to customize our profile like on the live version of Waypoint.
Is it just me or does “AI model” not show anything on the waypoint app? It’s confusing that theirs options but no actual change. Also is there no voice change or is it just my old head injury acting up
As an update, I finally got the option to join the beta on Android. I had to access the app page on Play Store through Android settings, rather than a web browser or the Google Play app itself. Still waiting for the beta to actually install but at least the option is available.
Edit: I’m in. Had to manually update the app via Play Store app.

- Go to the settings app on Android. - Go to apps. - Find Halo Channel. Tap it to enter the store page. - You should now find an option to join the beta.Edit: Support updated my ticket after I reported the problem solved. You should be able to see the beta option on the store page regardless of access point. I hope that is true.

I’m having problems as well trying to access the app halo channel won’t update to allow me to use the newer app don’t worry others have the same problem

Yeah I don’t think the voices work, but the emblems do work. There’s something special about being the only one in an infinite match with an emblem. And a custom tag “FART”.
The Android app is working right now. I suspect the iOS is also working.

I had to update the app manually through the Play Store app.
For others asking, you have to join the beta from the Google Play store page for Halo Channel. Halo Channel itself no longer functions.

iOS version still gives a SLIPSPACE DISRUPTION error for me.
If anybody is looking for the waypoint beta app on iOS you have to download an app called TestFlight first and sign in with your Apple creds and then the waypoint app should show within TestFlight.
