Waypoint Medals Page [concept]
Seen a few people asking for an updated list of all the medals available on the forums and how to get them. There’s a thread stickied in General Discussion, but it hasn’t been updated in a while and probably won’t be in the near future. So my thoughts were that a few page could be introduced to the forums that neatly lists out all the badges and their requirements. It is my thoughts that the descriptions on here could be a little more expanded that the user profile section ones are.
I played around with layouts and 2 per-row seemed the best, presentation wise. 4 per-row, like user profiles, seemed a little cluttered. I also added some splits in, now these are mostly just placeholders. I wasn’t sure what the best splits could be and what they should be called, but it definitely looks a lot nicer with splits as opposed to 1 big long list. I don’t imagine that there will be a lot of medals, so page loads should be decent enough. I may upload some of the other concepts for different medal-per-row counts, for comparison.
Oh and excuse the header image - I built the page together using firebug, using my own profile as a base
Totally want this. I was actually looking for a guide on how the medals work, I just happened to click on this thread and now I know all of them. This would be a great page for the noobs (like myself) to learn from.
Good Idea, but what is the description for “artist” ? HAHAHA
Haha yeah I’m not too sure on that, but that’s the official description for the badge on Waypoint so I’m going with that for now

I think this is a great idea and your design is top notch.
Good Idea. Like to see it happen
Great concept, I love it.
Excellent work! Man, a lot of these seem very hard to get.

It was like a one time thing for one of the PAX events a few years back and really makes me wish I didn’t live in the UK. We need some more awesome Halo events over here
Good design. I would like to see this as a reality.
So, how would you sign up for one of the contests? Im interested in that writing one. When will the next contest be and how do i find these things out?
