Hey folks!
Excited to announce the release of my custom Light theme for Halo Waypoint.
https://userstyles.world/style/2030/waypoint-light
I’ve done my best to surface some elements of Discourse that are currently hidden on Waypoint and enhances some existing features:
- Added back the “OP” badge to denote topic poster on their posts
- “Highlighted” badge to denote a post has been specifically highlighted
- Better highlighting for ‘closed’ topics
- Better highlighting for ‘read’ topics
- Made use of borders to stylize and visually separate content,
- Spaced out posts within topics
- Better visibility of topic age within posts (e.g. if a topic has gone 6 months without reply)
- Improved layouts of some sections using grids
- Pushed more sections to fill the width of their containers, which helps them to look a little neater
Installation
Waypoint light was designed to be used with the Stylus browser extension

Bugs, Issues and Support
From time to time issues and bugs may appear, either due to forum updates or items I missed
Please submit a new ticket here if you are familiar with GitHub: https://github.com/stickerboy/waypoint-light/issues/new
Alternatively just drop a reply to this topic with the issue and I’ll see what I can do to fix it
Dark theme
I haven’t started work on this yet, but I do plan on porting some of my light theme changes into an enhanced Dark Mode style, which will hopefully help with some of the issues I’ve seen people mention around the forums.
