Glad I’m not the only one.
I would have a grey tinted E3 Badge myself but Waypoint just would not load during E3. Full background but only a “We encountered problems attempting to load the page” notification type would not load.
It’s been persisting ever since.

Yeah, it sometimes feels as though I am trying to mix concrete with my eye lash soo slow…I hope whatever issues they have they get sorted soon. E3 was worse for me I don’t seem to get the error as much but you are right it is still around, unfortunately.
I really wish they could do something about the loading times. I would be so much more active if they did.
It is starting to get to the point where is is making everywhere I go on the site very slow. I hoping there is a fix soon on the way.

I am having serious issues with the site today, it is extremely sluggish I hope whatever the issue that it gets sorted soon.

For me almost each page takes more than 7 seconds to load, and when I post it takes more than 10 seconds…
A lot of the forum indexes are pretty fast, at least compared to what they were around and for a while after e3. But some threads take longer than they should. Loading speed is rarely an easy thing to improve/optimize. But it looks like they’re loading >20 javascript files onto this, and presumably each other thread page in addition to running the forum software, so that could take a while.
It’s not just you. The forums are slow for everyone. Especially with the influx of new members on the site.

There was an older thread posted about this some time ago. Its been an issue for quite awhile. I think most of us are hoping there will be a massive update to the site before Halo 4 goes live.

I sometimes get that long. Right now, it’s going pretty slow, slower than any other forum. I expect more from the developers of one of the biggest gaming franchises of all time.
Hopefully it’s just because they’re devoting their time and resources into Halo 4 and the forums and site will get an overhaul after the release of Halo 4.

Hopefully a forum overhaul will happen a few weeks before H4.
I would like to point out the problem with this website: look at the URL. It says “forums.halo.xbox.com”. I believe the problem is that it’s based in/hosted by xbox.com. I don’t know how often you all use that site, but in my experience with it, it always takes fifteen to thirty seconds to load the simplest of pages, similar to this site. I know this site has always been hosted by xbox.com, and it used to be faster, but in my brain, that’s because of what everyone is saying: the increased traffic doesn’t help.
But I sincerely believe that the problem is based more in xbox.com than in the way this forum is coded. Xbox.com is just a bad site, period. Thoughts?

I hope the site is modernised and gets a theme more similar to the Halo 4 website. I don’t mind before or after the release of Halo 4, but, we definitely need the forums revamped before Halo 4 releases. It can barely handle the traffic now, what will it be like then?
I’m experiencing the same problems too. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

yeah i somtimes get that about 18 seconds
