How would you like to see the Waypoint app on the Xbox dashboard integrated into halo 4?
For ODST we had avatar outfits for general achievement milestones, Reach had bonus armour to unlock through achievement milestones and Anniversary used a Forerunner input screen easter egg thing to input codes from the terminals to unlock bonus credits for Reach and eventually a secret terminal.
So for halo 4 would you like to see more from this forerunner panel/input screen and if so what other possibilities could it hold? Or perhaps a whole new awesome idea for bonus content? =D
It will most likely be heavily integrated with Halo 4, so I don’t see any point in discussing it.
As much as they’re doing with Halo 4, I foresee complete integration of Waypoint into Halo 4, so much as to where you can do everything that you can in the actual app, in Halo 4.
If they won’t do that, why not? It’s already insane enough to do what they do with Spartan Ops, why not have more insanity? lol
Because you bought the game Halo 4. Why make the same thing twice?
Perhaps each skull could carry a few of the forerunner glyphs, you can only see them when you hold the skull so you write them down, you enter in every glyph in order of the skulls found in every mission into waypoint and tadahh you unlock a secret piece of armour!
Judging by the fact that they have confirmed Smart Glass for Halo 4, I’d say Waypoint integration will exist.
I like the idea of unlocking things based on achievements and career milestones, but Waypoint is somewhat unnecessary for that. Halo 3 had achievement-based unlocks. The way Waypoint functions for Reach is great. If it was quicker to navigate, and provided as much stats as Bungie.net and this website, along with even more customized insight, then I’ll be using it every day.
