Halo 4 will be the most skill intensive game of any Halo to date! There will be a hotkey button that shouts “NOOB!” that will replace what used to be equipment or AA’s, since it will basically be useless at this point. The Master Cheif will be a floating head, because headshot gameplay is the only actual way to play Halo, and the body is only for spammers and noobs. The only weapons will be the CE pistol and the sniper rifle, because short range weapons are for noobs that are easily abused. The game will feature extremely linear gameplay that is extremely buggy and easy to cheat at, because that is what a real sandbox game is.
Halo 5 will be Halo CE, simply repackaged. Anything less shall be deemed a complete failure.
Halo 6 will be another repackaged Halo CE, but the Master Chief will be replaced with a floating head. It’s a risky venture, but they can always remake Halo 5.
I normally don’t approve of such brazen sarcasm, but this is a sadly accurate portrayal of the players who generally populate Halo’s multiplayer. It made me smile.
Attacking the hardcore players? What’s wrong with people playing the way they like? Sounds like somebody lost to a team and got trash talked to me. Dude, just because people beat you because they can use weapons effectively does not mean you should attack other people in the community. Second, it’s called "Team and party only"on matchmaking voice in the audio settings. Use it. Don’t just post spam and be a -Yoink- to other people’s play styles.

> Nothing, provided that they don’t do so at the expense of other people’s enjoyment.
What? They beat somebody? Boohoo. You win you lose. I really do not understand what you mean by them doing it at the expense of others.

If you mean to imply that I (and others) are complaining about losing, then you’re mistaken. Losing is inevitable, and no one here will bemoan their defeat at the hands of truly superior players.
As a player who previously played in a style that would be considered “competitive”, I feel as though I have a decent grasp on both sides of the argument, and I now realise how much more enjoyable the game is when I don’t rely on the sniper rifle in every game, refuse to spend the entirety of a game in the banshee, and make every attempt to utilise the oft overlooked elements of the sandbox. There is little fun to be had when the opposing team parks a tank beside your team’s spawning point, hides players with sniper rifles all over the map, and use the same three weapons over and over and over again.

The point of a sandbox game is to utilize the weapons on the map. Tier 1 weapons will lose to anything better than it. If you don’t want to do this then stick to team slayer and just run around. But I do not see how people who play the game to it’s full potential is ruining anything for anybody. It’s their own fault for getting mad at a game where the point of it is to stay alive and kill the other players. Your claim is basically saying that players want others to “STAY STILL AND LET ME KILL YOU!” It will never work that way.
> Your claim is basically saying that players want others to “STAY STILL AND LET ME KILL YOU!”.
How you could conclude that that is the essence of my argument is beyond my comprehension, and so I offer no reply.
> But I do not see how people who play the game to it’s full potential is ruining anything for anybody.
I would like to posit that the reason you don’t see it is that you’re confusing “people who play the game to it’s full potential” with people who do exactly the opposite. Predicating one’s entire game on the DMR and the sniper rifle, whilst refusing to look twice at a plasma rifle, or to selflessly act as driver in a game of Capture the Flag–and thereby forfeit some measure of the glory–is not, in my view, playing the game to it’s full potential.
