Waypoint Gamertag transition issues?

Around July 2nd, I changed my Gamertag (Old: Geng23 New: The Gengo). The change here seemed seamless, I logged in and my GT had changed, but all of my past stats still showed.

After checking a commendation status last night (on this website), everything seemed fine. However, this morning is a different story. I log on to find myself a recruit, and that “The Gengo” has never played a game of Halo before. I have played 50-60 games since the change.

So now, according to Waypoint, “The Gengo” has a Career Overview of 70, but has not played a single game of Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Wars. It does, however, show that I have 43/44 achievements in Anniversary (all of which I did prior to my GT change).

If I search for the service record of my previous tag (Gengo23), it shows an accurate and up to date accounting of my stats - even those 50-60 games I played AFTER the change.

Does anyone here have any ideas what is going on and who to talk to or how to fix it?

Thank you in advance for any and all help.

I think it takes time to change. I’m sure though. Try to be patient, it’s happened to so many people.

TomoK12 - Thank you for your response.

What I was trying to say is that it WAS changed. My stats prior to this morning were accurately showing up under my new GT.

So when I looked at this earlier, your GT was The Gengo but now it’s back to Gengo23. It just looks like the servers haven’t caught up to the GT change just yet.

snickerdoodle - Thank you!

It was confusing that it (appeared to have) changed on Waypoint, and now it is back to what is was more than a week ago.

ETA: When I’m actually IN Reach, my GT is correct (as are all of my stats, as sad as they are).

Haha, no problem.

It’ll probably flicker a little more before finally settling in.
