The problem’s happening across the two Android devices in my house that’ll support the app, my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and my Galaxy Nexus. The app seems to be working fine, but I can’t login to Windows Live. I enter my credentials, but does not log me in. When I click login, it’s as if the button isn’t there. It gets highlighted, but nothing else happens. Almost like it’s hanging.
Yes, right after the Fall Update. I’m on Waypoint on my 360 right now.
K, can you post more details?
-
When you say “click login”, do you mean when you tap the “Sign in to Windows Live ID” button inside of the app, or do you mean the “Sign in” button inside of the browser that opens up, which is where you enter your Windows Live ID and password?
-
Can you post a screenshot of the screen where the button gets highlighted, but then it hangs?
-
Do you get any kind of error message and if so can you post the exact message?

Anything I can do to help.
-I mean the sign in button in the browser that’s opened up in-application.
-There is no error message. Nothing happens, at all.

That image stays the same. The button remains highlighted with no activity unless I activate another element on the page, but does not progress past this point. I do not get signed in. I’m currently running android 4.0.2 (had a ROM with 4.0.3 earlier and the same problem occurred) on this phone, and am running 3.2 on my tablet, where the same thing happens.
Okay, next question. What is your Internet connection? 3G? WiFi? Have you tried on both? Do you use a proxy server?
Currently, connected over Wifi. I haven’t tried over 3G (CDMA) or 4G (LTE) yet. I do not use any proxies.
And one last thing. Can you browse to https://login.live.com in your system Browser, outside of the app, and try to sign in? What happens when you tap the Sign in button?
Also, one more tip - in Halo Waypoint, after you tap Sign in in the browser that opened up - can you try tapping Back (if it’s available), or clicking Done (if it’s available in the app UI) - then clicking the “Sign in to Windows Live ID” button in the app UI again - and then re-enter your info (if necessary), and click “Sign in” again?
Aka, try to close the browser UI that opened in Halo Waypoint and then tap “Sign in” to open it again…
I have heard of this working around this issue?

Okay, signing in via the Android browser works on the website, over LTE. Attempting to sign in via the app over LTE had the same problem as before.
That last suggestion you put forth seems to have worked, leaving the browser opened up in the app and reentering has logged me in. Done over wifi. Thanks for the help, guys. Hope what I’ve reported can aid in solving the issue in the first place.
