Do you think that 343i will (or even should) incorporate Halo 4 achievements into the Waypoint Career section? What are your thoughts about career awards and milestones? Do you think it’s something just for achievement hunters? Does it drive you to play harder? Do you think it is effective at getting people to purchase more Halo products? Or does it not matter at all?
I like it, because it gives me personal targets and goals to shoot for. I probably wouldn’t even try most legendary campaign settings if it were not for the Waypoint career awards that are associated.
From a purchasing standpoint, I’ve bought Anniversary (even though I already have the original Halo: Combat Evolve). And I’ve rented and am thinking about getting Halo Wars because of the career goals that I’ve set. And I’m not even one of those strategy-you-build-up-your-forces-and-attack-type-of-gamers.
I guess I am a bit of an achievement hunter though, so it works well for me. How about you? I’d be interesting in getting some insight from the players on this forum.

I have all of the achievements for every halo game until December 10th when the crimson map pack is released. Since halo reach, I don’t think they have updated the career milestones. I haven’t passed milestone 75 and its kind of obnoxious that it is that way. I would like to be rewarded, and I am confused as to why they would even keep the milestones if they weren’t going to update or give any rewards. Regardless if they are going to update it, if they are going to keep it I would like for them to be displayed like they used to, where you were able to see all of your milestones and the date you acquired them. It made me appreciate it more seeing how far i had come. Im glad that you posted this question, its good to see someone with similar questions. It suck though because I doubt this thread will grow beyond my nerd of a comment.
Well, you guys are definitely not the only persons caring about this, actually there have been at least 3 or 4 threads about exactly the same topic in the last month, since Halo 4’s release.
Unfortunately, 343i did not react in any way, at least as far as i know.
I mean, I see that they have no time to answer each and every question that is posted here, but just stating that the milestone 75 “does not include Halo 4”, while on the other hand they are counting the Halo 4 achievements in the overall number of Halo achievements, is quite confusing.
A short statement by 343i, about what will happen with the milestone system, would be very, very good.
