Waypoint Avatars

I’ve noticed that some people have ones that no one else has when they reach that rank, does anyone know how they got them?

Some of them were older and grandfathered in. As in, they don’t offer that one anymore, but if someone had it and never changed it, it’ll still show up.

Do you know why they got rid of them?

No clue, sorry! It’s a good question…

When the last big site update happened (in 2014?), they upgraded the avatars to a higher resolution. In the process, they just didn’t recreate all the old avatars, probably because doing it would’ve required finding the original source pictures, which may be a lot of work, especially for some of the more obscure ones.

Thanks.
