It’s time to say it, 343, you’ve gone too far… Let people have their Slayer, but let us have our Objective… I honestly think that you’ve recently dialed up the amount of Slayer games getting cycled into Quick Play and Big Team. I’ve been playing Infinite almost daily since it’s release, and I’ve never played as much Slayer as I have this last week… Some of us need more than just “point-and-shoot”. Some of us enjoy multi-tasking, and we get so board in Slayer. Don’t make us start complaining and demanding an Objective playlist like all those slay-babies did

Disagree. They need to get their act together and separate Objective from Ranked because I DESPISE objective games and have no desire to deal with teammates who ignore the objective on top of that.

I’d kill for a game of Oddball at the moment.
I don’t like to play in slayer and I’m sure there is a lot of player too who don’t like to play in slayer or in objectives. In MCC, we have the choice to select slayer or objectives thanks to the selector of playlist (I’m not sure it’s called that way), I don’t understand why they don’t use it in Infinite ?

There’s more people playing Infinite than MCC and it has many more playlists. I don’t think population size has anything to do with it.

I’m guessing they built it that way initially so you could select which Halo you wanted to play.
yeah, how many players does it have? all i see s a min 30% drop on steam every week.
Well now we want to select if we play in slayer or in objectives. They did it ones, they can do it again
honestly all they have to do is remove slayer from quick play and BOOM! there’s your objective playlist Ive had a challenge for 2 days now telling me to complete a Strongholds game Ive been playing quick play for 2 days with no strongholds game…Slayer has its own playlist the game type doesn’t need to be in quick play any more

What’s even more dumb is that you can’t complete Team Slayer challenges by playing Team Slayer in Quickplay.
It is currently serving no purpose being in Quickplay except to make it less likely you will play objective game types, making it more difficult to complete those challenges.

lol so i swapped the stronghold challenge and now have an oddball challenge my last 3 games have been stronghold… didnt get one stronghold game in 2 days of trying while i had the challenge get rid of it now i get nothing but stronghold…the game actively stopping you from doing challenges
This wouldn’t be a problem if 343 just had matchmaking composer like MCC.

I can definitely agree with the Original Poster and others that call for an objective playlist, or to pull out Slayer from quick play.
It’s not a question of whether or not they can. They absolutely CAN. And it’s not a question of whether or not they should. They absolutely SHOULD.
That " 30 seconds of fun" that makes up the core game loop of Halo is Slayer anyway, but Halo is for everyone… not just slayers. Im happy to continue to plead: 343, please give us a dedicated objective playlist, or at the very least consider dialing back the matches in quick play because I feel like the OP and I’m playing Waaaay too much Slayer.

Because they designed a UI that isn’t easy to change such things.
They broke BTB last time they added playlist.
That’s how incompetent 343 is on the top executive side
They forced a UI that is horrible at working with and possibly all spaghetti code, and attached that tons live service game.
So anytime they make even the smallest change to the UI the game has a freaking anurism.
The problem loes within the UI they put on the game.
They didn’t really design it to be expandable… Well easily expandable … BTB broke last time they added stuff to it.
But honestly how does 343 go an build a Live Service game and build a UI that is not live service friendly l, hell it’s not even update friendly
I really hate that the Halo community is so obsessed with playing just Slayer. In other games this isn’t an issue.
CTF and Oddball is such a joy. I’d love a playlist dedicated to objective only modes.

That’s ok man, but some of us DESPISE slayer games… We can play together without getting exactly what we want every game, but there definitely needs to be balance. If ranked was only Slayer then I, and many other players, would just completely ignore ranked games all together. But as for non-ranked games, definitely, they shouldn’t be forcing any of us to play games that we don’t want to play
