I mean…having a game mode with 24 players…there’s gonna be quite an increased chance of teams/parties playing in the games. That’s kind of a thing with all games that have matches that have a high amount of people. And sometimes all you need is one fireteam or even just a pair of players who can communicate and work together to make a difference.
I’m kind of curious as to how you know if you’re against premade or teams or not. Other than maybe sharing the same clan/service tags, I don’t really know how to tell if a group of players is actually a party of friends working together. If there is a way to tell that I don’t know, I’d like to know, especially if its enough for this claim of there being so many teams now.
Other than occasionally playing with friends, I’ve been soloing in BTB since the start of Infinite’s multiplayer. Its still my favorite mode, I still have a lot of fun in it, and sometimes I have good, close games games and sometimes I have roflstomping bad games but so far that’s just the nature of BTB and video games in general. I have fun with it regardless though.

I agree 100% but I am Halo Traditionalist 100% and always will be. In all of my maps I make damn sure that there are only “TWO TEAMS!”
RED VS BLUE THAT’S IT!!
I made sure nobody can change teams to the Gold Team Or The Green Or any other Color Team. If a person tries they will instantly die when they spawn in a different color. Red Team Or Blue Team ONLY!
Hope we get Forge soon so I can fix some of these stock maps to play Halo Traditional Way!
PEACE!

There is a line on the scoreboard that shows linked teammates who are partied up
If you mean the scoreboard that you can bring up during games or the one you can look at at the end of the game, I don’t see any lines.
If I go into the Social Tab, bump over to Recent Players, then I can see the lines. Going by the couple examples of games I’ve played with this knowledge in mind, I’ve only seen pairs of players linked up which isn’t unordinary to me.
well lucky you, you never see teams at all, you must be playing midday or something
Afternoons/evenings/nights mostly, as that is what my work life has dictated.
I would say that I’ll be keeping an eye out from now on but honestly I probably won’t. If this ends up showing that some of the roflstomp games I’ve had are due to a large premade or just groups of legit friends playing together…that won’t be showing me anything new. Plenty of Halo games in the past have led to stomps due to clans/teams making up the opposition and there are plenty who have just had too many bad players on one team and too many good players.
My experiences with Infinite’s multiplayer - namely BTB - and my frustrations/elations/wins/losses are still rather consistent with Halo in general which includes just having bad games with bad people and good games with good people.
Look, I’m not good at this game and I’m going +20 and up almost every single game because almost nobody that plays even knows how the weapons work, in my completely anecdotal experience.
If anything these people should be trying to party up with ME.
…Okay? shrugs I get a rare invite or two but people generally want to play by themselves or people they know. Whatever they think is more fun. A lot of the time just playing to win doesn’t matter to them - or at least not enough to invite randoms.
I’ve noticed its been suggested numerous times here already, but maybe you can be the one to invite people you think are good or just had a good experience with. I’ve sent messages to Warthog drivers for their nice driving when they gave me some good kills or defending a fleeing flag carrier and sent a couple congrats to those in LSS when I’ve had a good, final duel with them or just thanking them to make sure that one camper wasn’t the one to win the match
Never really invited anyone to play with me but that’s because I prefer to go solo or play with friends.
If you want to play with teams or at least people who will communicate, you can go to Discord channels or forums or anyone else and simply invite people to play.
I mean, I don’t really every see or hear anyone that’s even tolerable and worth any sort of invite. As I said above, most of the people that even have mic’s are very rude, so I trash talk back.
As I’ve said time and time again in this thread, the community that plays this game is extremely toxic. If they all had mics it would probably sound like an early 2000’s CoD lobby.
That’s nothing new either, whether in Halo, CoD, or any other game. Learn to tune it out or avoid it, as the good old mute settings have allowed me to keep having a good time even during the early years of the Halo franchise once we got Xbox Live.
Again, if you’re really starved for teamwork or competence, go to a dedicated Discord channel or a forum. Your pickings will be much better there than randos in games.
Or just play a different game. Always that option.
I’m on about 6 dedicated Halo discord servers
They ALL laugh at the idea of playing Infinite.
You guys are really not fully aware of how bad the problem is apparently. Nobody interested in playing this game has any interest in playing as a team, which is where matching already established teams of snobs becomes a tremendous hurdle.
…shrugs Oh well then. I like it, I’m having fun. That’s all fine for me.
If you’re not, again just go play something else. Go play MCC with those guys.
If the game’s really that bad to you and everyone else, then leave it. Healthiest and easiest option to do.
you’re still missing the point
I’m trying to convince people to improve the game so more people will play it
And I’m providing my opinion and experiences that when it comes to a lot of other things wrong with Halo Infinite, I don’t consider this to be one of the more critical issues that’s effecting my enjoyment much, if at all.
So? This is my thread and I’m stating outright that its impacting MY enjoyment of the game.
Heck, now I’m having to report a cheater by doing the convoluted method they require you to do through this website so its just one thing after another.
On a public thread where others such as myself are free to either agree or voice conflicting experiences, which is exactly what these forums are for. So sometimes the responses that you get will not be the ones you particularly want.
Such as, yes, I do agree that the report system needs to be vastly improved upon. Among other things.
But I do not find teams in Big Team Battle to make the game mode “impossible” to play as you have said and find it just fine to play on solo save for those moments where you team doesn’t want to go for a flag or just lose.
But, as been stated numerous times, that’s just part of the game and here I am months later still playing and enjoying it.
Literally had a game tonight where the only two people on my team with mics were actively throwing the powerseeds off the map so we couldn’t score them, and bragging about it.
Tell me again how you can just party up with people in this game and “have fun”
So you had a bad game with -Yoink!- Once again, not a new thing, but certainly not common. Just the more obvious and obnoxious ones that leads it to sticking with you like a bad taste.
I’m pretty sure I made it clear that I don’t and it certainly wouldn’t be them if I did. But I do have fun with it regardless, as my recent CTF game in Deadlock and my Slayer game in Breaker can attest. Plus just the nice day I had when I was off work and able to complete Challenges that had a bunch of weapon Challenges that let me do what I want.
All this talk is making me want to play a couple more games so I think I’ll go and do that.
Just a spartan themed dress up game

The problem with this mentality is those who search solo are the majority and they’re punished for it.
