Watched a Pro Playing Halo 5 on Twitch... thoughts

Hi Everyone

Watched a halo pro on twitch last night playing Halo 5 Guardians . One of the big arguments going on with halo is about sprint . So this pro decides to play the game and not use sprint.

First game i see him play. ALL he does is sprint around and climb up things etc and does not shoot back. How many times you think he died?.. you would expect a high figure if your not shooting back 3 times he died . Its because of the constant sprint and speed of it and being able to clamber up things they could not hit him. He was too fast.

Next game he played not using sprint at all and completely dominated and the game actually looked like a halo with the no sprinting.

Up until seeing this stream as was on the fence about sprint. But after watching i can now see why it ruins the halo gameplay. The game doesnt need sprint and seeing the stream showed this. If the gamer uploads it to youtube ill link it. I think it will change a few peoples minds.

Ninja from cloud 9, mind you. The skill gap is absurd but sprint speeds are a little fast especially for small maps like Eden

Pro or not anyone can just Sprint round a map.the Sprint is way too quick.

I’m curious as to see if he used the thruster pack. When I heard they were going to attach Spartan shield to sprint I thought that would fix the issues, but no.

The core problem with sprint is that is lets people avoid confrontation. Add the thruster pack in the mix, it becomes pretty easy to get away from a losing battle. It takes the risk out of leaving cover, and makes finding cover easy.

They should turn them off for this last week just to see how the game works as is, just without sprint or the thruster pack.
