Can you still get the Watchdog armor coating if you decide to get back on halo 5 and hit 152?

No actually in a old video they said you had to get it before the release of infinite.

Maybe they will put it in the shop and only let those who didn’t get to 152 buy it. Like the adrenal promotion maybe
They said that about legendary mcc completion also but i got that a few months back. Theres a process to get it which isn’t well known once you’ve reached 152

I got my watchdog a few days after Infinite’s release so yes you can

Heres the jest.
Originally, you had to get to 152 before launch of campaign. Dec 8, 2021.
But they kinda went back on their word and said that you could acquire whenever you hit 152. When you do, an item will appear in your waypoint drops and redemption code history titled “guardians bounty”. It should appear as a legendary level coating in your infinite inventory after that.
Hitting 152 is insanely hard. If youre at 151, you’re halfway there. Theres so few players on h5 now that it would be hard pressed to hit 152. But if you wanted to try by all means.
Now, the original watchdog coating wouldn’t be worth it in my opinion at the time of release. It was a dull grey, just a shade of the under armor, the red was dull, it was a dud. you also get the mantle of responsibility symbol as an emblem for everything and a banner (which I rock). The weapon coatings were the coolest part of that bundle and they gave the coatings away in HCS but with a bit of blue on them.
The 152’s were ticked off. The coating wasn’t what was promised and they basically gave away what was cool about the coating. Theres several threads that the 152’s voiced their displeasure.
Promises were made that 343 would make it right.
And they did.
With S3, They made a new coating: watchdog neo. It was given to just the 152’s.
It’s completely cross core and looks exactly like what was promised. PLUS! You now get a watchdog neo coating for the sniper rifle AND the bandit.
Nothing for the RL, hydra, commando, or bulldog, but I ain’t complaining.
So, is it worth it now? Well, that depends. I think neo is a sharp coating and I wear it with pride.
However, The time you’d spend in 5 trying to grind to get the coatings and emblems could be spent in infinite. And it will be significant unless you’re very close.
But if your not say 151 and have like 25% left, I wouldn’t bother. Infinites lifespan is going to be pretty short, you might get another 2 years out of infinite.
But if they put that coating in the store, a chunk of the playerbase will go nuclear.
