At the time of this post Ninja is currently streaming on twitch and he is playing without using sprint. It is interesting to see how much more fluid and simple this game is playing without sprinting around everywhere. It seems if 343i just took out sprint and increased movement speed 10% this game would still play pretty well.
Id prefer a 20% speed buff
If only the remixed maps were designed with no sprint and it was disabled on them. Theyd be better off bat.

Yea I’ve been watching and it looks good. That’s how I’ve pretty much been playing the last few days and I perform way better as I’m not running into weird situations

Except that he’s easily one of cloud 9’s best objective players this HCS season and at least the second best slayer on the team this season. His positioning isn’t always great, but he far from sucks
So what this proves is that sprint haters can coexist with sprint players. Just don’t use sprint if you don’t like it. Didn’t stop this guy from going 23-1 in the game i watched.

The developers are always communicating with the pros on Twitter, and Ninja said he’ll be posting the videos online. I think this will be some good feedback for sure. He’s easily the biggest Halo streamer, so this will def get seen
while he adds some amazing finesse to escaping, you really can do that in every game, only when facing a To4 of actually good halo players does it become more difficult.

5 seconds + slow down when shot, it’s the distance that causes the most issues.
I still like sprint in Halo 5 but he does a really good job of showing how you don’t have to use it and can still be successful. I rarely use sprint myself and find that I get up 1-2 shots on a lot of people because they overextend themselves. Either way I’d be interested to see what 343 makes of this, assuming they see this.
What if Sprint remains, but it takes down your shields the longer you Sprint for? Seems reasonable enough.

even so, as long as you know map line of sight having a distance boost in general is just poor, make it limited and make it punishable.
