OK I just realized something … A friend of mine told me he had a friend in Microsoft that told him he cannot say much but they are experimenting with more in halo 5 for updates … My question is … They have 4 reqs for the banshee … And 2 for the phaeton … My thing is that when I first saw the wasp my first impression was that it was cool and all but it could be WAY stronger and WAY more durrable … The thing has no boosts of any kind and the fact that it is as fragile as a glass statue is tricks rediculous… So my question I am wondering is… Could what they be working on be some more req versions of the wasp ???

I can expect we will get the whole 7 REQ varients for the wasp in the next update, if we ever get one.
Its easy to do for 343 and more REQs is always good for them.

Supported release in content will be extended beyond this update, though not monthly. Also don’t think we’re getting 7 variants for a Wasp lol.
an ONI and Hannibal Wasp would be awesome.
I imagine we will get an ONI Wasp at some point and maybe some sort of skinned variants like the Corp and Urban Warthogs. Praying there isn’t a Rally Wasp though.

Hence why it is req level 3. It’s pretty powerful for being such a low req level.
Anyone saying the Wasp is weak hasn’t taken a bunch of them out in a group. I have a feeling they’re going to bump it up to a req level 4 after a little while. We took like 7 and 8 of them out at once yesterday and absolutely DESTROYED people. A swarm of those things at req level 3 is almost impossible to stop. lol
There is no way we will be getting Corp, Urban, Tundra, or Woodland variants for the Wasp. Here are my reasons:
Corp: The AV-49 Wasp is fairly new and I highly doubt that Liang Dortmund ever got ahold of a single Wasp.
Tundra, Urban, and Woodland: What’s the point of blending in with the ground environment if you are in the sky?
The only variants that I could see happening is the ONI and Hannabal variants.
We’ve known the updates wouldn’t be over as soon as Frankie said they wouldn’t be over on NeoGaf a month ago. And yesterday we got so much evidence supporting that claim like the Plasma Launcher and a new, unannouned armor skin. Even before that we have evidence with Emile’s armor having a skin with flames on it for that iamge for the Warzone Firefight beta.
You don’t need to pull the old “I know people on the inside” crap here.
As for the possibility of wasp variants, I’m sure we’ll get some, but not the same ones we got for the other vehicles. We don’t know when the Wasp entered service so it’s probably very new to the UNSC arsenal which would mean it’d be impossible for Liang-Dortmund to have Wasps, so corps is out of the question.
As for all the camos, well it’s an aircraft. I mean, if we got a skin that turned you into a cloud or something I could see it working…
The only two existing UNSC camos that’d work are ONI and Hannibal.
An onion and Hannibal wasps would be really good.

What if they made a ocean and a sky variant for it to replace the camos and also you can fly it on the ground like a ghost.

If they’re going to resurrect Cortana I don’t see why they’ll have an issue with adding a corp skin tbh.
I agree with everyone , I feel an oni or hannible wasp would be AMAZING
ONI with explosives that track everything and explosive rounds + Better Armor and Shields, and perhaps an orange canopy for contrast would be quite welcome.
Hannibal with railgun cannons and the Hannibal Mantis’ missiles.
